After that's done, you'll want to separate the two pieces, and fold over the top 1/4” - 1/2” of the top of each piece of fabric. If you don't have any patterns or anything like that on your shirt, then it doesn't really matter.

(Can you believe there's only 5 more steps after this???)

I don't know if this will work for the shirt I wanted to use, but there are dozens of shirts in the closet. I'm sure no one will notice them missing

I hate odd numbers too. In fact, my favorite number is 8. And I'm actually a little OCD about the number 4.

Or a lot OCD.

Wanna know something really messed up? I hate odd numbers, but my favorite number is 5. I think that's because it's right in the middle, though.

I saw a woman on Oprah one time with the same OCD. I didn't realize how pretty much every number can go back to 4

I know right!

The next bag will get a little more complicated.

Go ahead and sew along each fold, getting as close to the edge as possible. You can either use a “fancy” stitch or just sew down the length twice to give it some more stability. Make sure you do this for both shirt pieces.

I do lots of things in four. If I can't do them in four, then I try to at least do them in 2. You should see me eat M&Ms. Actually, I usually don't because of this issue.

Hooray for two! I'm definitely passing this thread along to my partner. He loves to sew.

What if you are doing this by hand, what sort of stitch works best?

The next one really just sounds complicated when you're reading it, but once you've done it a few times it's nothing

I'd try to do a back stitch the whole length, and have two rows next to each other the whole length. Having two rows isn't imperative by any means, but it'll help it hold up better in the long run.

I have a guy friend who helped me out with some sewing. I told him it was very sexy, but the other guys laughed at him!
