I have to say I was quite impressed and happy about this one. I liked the variety. I don't like all the same "theme" like all vampires. I like when I'm not going to know what the next story is going to be about.

Some paranormal, some fantasy, it's so worth a read! There's a bit of something for everyone, in my opinion!

Not with wormwood. That's why I used to get it shipped via courier from Germany (yay for goth friends in early college... I probably would never have done all that research myself)

BTW, hubby says NOT to by the Czech absinthe to stick with the French or Swiss brands. The Czech stuff is nasty even for him.

I would say this is more of romance than erotica actually. Very thrilling and lovely to read. I want another one with more stories like this!

Variety is the spice of life. Yeah, that's a cliche, but it's a true one!

I think my favorite story of Red Velvet and Absinthe was Bitter and Intoxicating. It was only in the following story that I realized what was the name of the paranormal being that was presented. The story is super hot by the way.

It has been for several years now. Only certain brands, though, as they have to certified to be thujone-free. (less than 10 mg of thujone per kilogram of absinthe).
Thanks for the information, tim1724. Hey, is this your first post, or have I just missed some? Forst-timers get a prize.

The wormwood was the hallucinogenic. I believe that was taken out a long time ago. I've had absinthe in England, and there was no wormwood.

I have to say Mitzi that I would love to be one of the authors in this book. I would be proud!

Oddly enough, while US law requires that products made with Artemisia (wormwood is one species) be thujone-free, there's no such rule for things like sage oil (which can be up to 50% thujone).

Yes, that's a good story. The author Sharon Bidwell created a very clever story trailer as well, replete with wonderful Parisian music.

Some parts were more subtle than others in their paranormal aspects, but they were always there, at least for me.
