Don't get me wrong; I love zombies and other horror/gore type things as much as the next person. However, I feel people complain much more about sex and nudity than violence. Football is a violent sport, but the Superbowl got its biggest complaints when Janet Jackson flashed a little booby.

I haven't read that and I would love to. Erotic fairy tales just sounds incredible to me.

A bit like some people's experience of Shakespeare. Btw, are there erotic parodies of his plays?

Besides the zombie book, there's Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters (I couldn't get past the cover) and Mansfield Park and Mummies (very good research and writing, but Mansfield Park was the one Austen I disliked, largely because the heroine was boring. Nothing to do with the fact that the book was required reading for the English Department comps when I graduated from college. Nothing at all.)

I think you just thought up a new anthology? Tales of Shakespeare in Bed.

I don't know about parodies, but quite a few Shakespeare works have bawdy humor in them already.

That statement is too true. And most of the people protesting and complaining are probably the ones with the most hard core porn on their computers!

Wouldn't we love to read explicitly about Desdemona making the beast with two backs behind Othello's back?

Indeed. Like Chaucer as well. I mean, the Miller's Tale - I remember reading that in high school and being like, "I get to read this for class???"

I've never understood why violence was so much more acceptable than sex. Perhaps because there is so much wrath of god violence in the bible, but the only sex acts are the ones that inspire the wrath of god. (And yes, I was raised religious and have read the entire bible.)

I was just scrolling through real fast to try and catch up and my eye caught this and totally read it wrong. I thought it said "I bet you'd do 'Aladdin in Oklahoma'" - what a bizarre parody that would be! Haha
