With one of my stories, the first editor who read it disliked the piece so much he would not even publish it for free. Second site would have paid $25, but found the story unpublishable. Final editor LOVED the story, said it was exactly right, and paid more than I would have expected.

Same story. Three opinions. All strong.

he wasn't even dead 2 hrs when we first started getting calls like this. I have been making the husband take us out of the house to get away from the phones and relax as a family so we can grieve in peace. Its already hard enough to get all the details worked out etc.

anyway, on to hot sexy distracting stories.

Other boats on the water lol. But neither of us really take all that long to finish, so I'm definitely considering getting up early and trying it before the powerboats can get on the lake. However that's assuming we can get back up to the lake house before fall lol.

I think people have a lot of prudish ideals around stuff they themselves are not turned on by, and its hard for them to let go of that and think outside the box for readers who would like it.

Life would be so much easier if everyone liked the same things, but also rather boring, don't you think?

But bravo to you for continuing to try and sell your story. The first rejection would have done me in.
