Hi everyone! Welcome to the first Eden Lives Healthy meeting!
For starters, I want to remind everyone that each person in attendance here is at a different stage in their life and at different levels physically and food-wise. We need to be conscientious of how we relate to one another because we don’t know everyone’s story.
So, I’ll tell you a little bit about myself and then we can all talk for a few minutes about what brings us here. I’ve been on some kind of diet since I was 8. I like to think that if my mom had never bothered me about my weight, I would have had a much healthier relationship with food. But that’s simply not the case, so coupled with some other triggers I’ve struggled with an overeating disorder all my life. I started to gain control of my health over the summer and was doing really well, but the past 3 months it’s been hard for me to stay motivated. So I thought, “What better place to have a support group for my endeavors than my favorite community?” So here we are!

Well I have kind of yo yo'd with weight since I was 16, long story short I lost my self confidence and started gaining it. Then I lost some when I did lots of drugs, then I quit doing lots of drugs and gained it back.
Then I lost it again (not so many drugs) and got pregnant and quit everything for good.
So now here I am, back up to where my max weight was before, and it is sticking around unfortunately.
I was on a great kick hitting the gym but my classes started and I have found every excuse not to go back.
Funny because, ironically, the more you workout the more energy you actually get!
