So, to be fair to them if they are putting up the money, I want to make sure we can showcase their products in return, and that we can "prove" the money went to a good cause. I am basically going to design this program and find the companies to match up with the charities. But the community has to be 100% on board - because this is OUR thing, ya know?

I think that if a company wants to get involved with helping the community help others, I'm down with it. Having a promotion will help get the company out there and thus help them see the benefits of becoming involved with other programs down the line.

How can I vote against a company wanting to help?

That sounds great, because it seems like that would be a good way to donate using points. We could just add it to the check out! I like it.

And you could "purchase" this alone too. Like a GC, but that goes to the charity. And this would be ON TOP of the money raised from the manufacturer. I just feel like this might conflict a little. Thoughts?

This amazing thing that you the community have been doing with Thanksgiving and Christmas is real and personal. We do not want to change that at all! We would however like to see you the community have more funds to be able continue this awesome pattern of great charitable acts!

Do you think there's a chance the products won't sell as well as the donations in the carts? I don't want to cause any disappointment or give any false expectations.

I like this idea as well. Aren't PO boxes kind of pricey? Plus it would be more work if Eden did the "middle man shipping" as Victoria stated.

Agreed. But what if there was some sort of registry set up. Like a gift registry. you pay online and the item is picked up. Know what I mean?

I see, yea I don't think having manufacturers involved will hurt that. I think it can all work out really nicely together

We will do special banners and splash pages - they will get featured really nicely for a whole month. But to keep it from being overkill, we'll do it every other month.

But at the same time, Something as simple as rounding up to the nearest dollar can add up really fast.

I agree with this; products will probably sell better because they're for a good cause, but there will always be cases where people just don't/want need a product. I think having a broad selection of products that fall under the for-a-good-cause banner will help, but like in my Icicles example, before, people sometimes don't NEED the products.
