hi , I've been missing a lot lately - kids baseball, two new kids adding to the family in June and end of the school year events are keeping me swamped.

Two new kids being added to the family? Are you pregger? Adopting? Fostering?

They are my niece and nephew on my Hubby's side. State took them from their parents almost three years ago because one was a pedophile and the other lacking common sense. They were abusing them. The girl is four and the boy just turned seven. Took lots of court battles, dealing with DSS, therapy and visitations to finally get them back in the family. It's actually my sister and brother-in-law that are gaining custody of them but we live right next door to each other (pretty much been best friends since we were little) and I'll be doing their daycare since both of them work. Kids have a long road ahead of them. They are fairly screwed up mentally and now accustomed to the system and know everything they shouldn't. Gonna take a lot of time and love to get them back on track. Gonna be a busy summer lol

It's amazing what a little kindness and love and gentility combined with sound structure and discipline can do though.

Figures, the one day I get to work some extra hours is the day the meeting is at noon.
It think moving EGB back to the CEC would be fine. I think a thread for specific projects would be another way to get the word out.
I like the badges idea as well.

I think maybe if there were an Eden Gives Back Paypal account that people could donate into, people might be more likely to donate money. It would be the same for all of the fundraising, that way people feel safe donating money, and could be assured that 100% of their donation (minus what paypal deducts) would be going to the cause. It would also make it easy to remember where to send donations, instead of a billion personal accounts, they would only have to remember one. Like edengivesback @edenfantasys.com or something. That way the donations could be rerouted to the charity when the participation period ends.

Like the clothing drives, helping at soup kitchen, if you live in a city - there is always some overgrown lot filled with trash, there are animal shelters, etc.
I do agree that BIG campaigns every month might being taxing, but that is not what anyone is trying to do. less

my list is the same. I like it like that. I also have a "next purchase PLEASE!" List, a Luxury list, and an assignments list, full of things that are or were available that I would like to review.

I also want to complain, because I HATE HATE HATE the way the reviews are set up now. I like to choose which reviews I read, which means I have to select the see all reviews list, and as a mentor, I no longer see which reviews are verified. This makes it WAYWAYWAYWAYWAY harder to find products to review, because the search engine always tells me things are available when they are in fact NOT available. I tried to apply for like 5 items the other day and 3 were rejected before i even requested them, one was rejected during request and the 5th I am waiting on but not holding my breath.... I REALLY do not want to go through this every time I have to find products to review for myself or my students.
Can you tell how strongly I feel about this?

I'm also for the idea of an Eden Gives Back paypal account. I'm not sure what goes into creating one, but I have brought it up before, and I'll be bringing it up again
