My boyfriend knows I get most of my toys for free from retailers and I know what I want better than he does, so he doesn't try to get me toys. We have purchased toys together though.

I buy all of our toys - and have for 25+ years. Although I'd love it if she got involved and surprised me - I have to settle for the fact that she's very open and will try anything that I buy - and I have bought some pretty strange things.
