That is completely true.

I always think about that when I'm turning down that bedspread that probably hasn't been dry cleaned in months... if ever...

Then have them come in as normal and just be there to supervise. You could also have them not clean just for the first couple of days.

I've always wanted to blacklight a hotel room...but here's the problem. If I bring the blacklight, I'll want to use it the minute I get there. If I use it the minute I get there and see little electric blue streaks everywhere, I won't stay in the room LOL It's a losing battle in my head.

Don't feel bad J..I have a wishlist just for books too. And I can't even justify ordering any more cuz I've got a pile of unread regular books to read as well as a small pile of partially read or unread erotica too.

My book problem is nearly as bad as my candle problem.

I'd rather just not know. That's my take on it.

But on an erotic note... there is something about a king-sized hotel bed and nothing but time on your hands, yes? And with the popularity of sites like Hotwire, it's pretty affordable to take a "stay-cation" in your own town. The erotic possibilities-- with a partner or alone-- are endless. (Says the woman who took her own little "stay-cation" a couple of weekends ago.)

For those of you who have read DO NOT DISTURB, what were your favorite scenarios?

Oh man, don't even get me started on candles. I've got a separate wishlist for those and I feel bad buying any, from anywhere, because we live with my mom and just don't really have the time for good quality candle burning, lol

I've managed to not check so far....I'm not sure how long I can hold out though. My other evil little idea is to visit one of my out of state relatives in their hotel when they're staying locally and check out their room w/ the blacklight... that way I wouldn't be as skeeved out because I wouldn't be the one staying. Horrible, I know. But it would satisfy my curiosity!

Well a few of us staff members did find that the hallway outside of their door needed some cleaning for awhile.

OMG I have also wanted to do that. After seeing so many stories on tv you can't help to wonder.

*raises hand*

I've always had the same dilemma. Maybe bring your own big fluffy blanket and pillow to sleep on in the bathtub after blacklighting everything in the room but the bathtub? lol

I LOVED the concept of the love hotel in Tokyo with all the different themes...it was in "So Simple a Place". I would so go to one of those if they existed, or if they existed locally...not sure if they're real?

I recently saw a commercial for... Hampton Inn that advertises that they wash not only the sheets but the duvet for every new guest. Given what I've heard about what you find on hotel beds...I made be their newest loyal customer just for that!
