I am trying to get a little insight on what individuals think when they see a girl walk by in a "slutty" or revealing costume!
What do you think of when you see a revealing Halloween costume?

It totally depends on how creative the costume is and in what context I see the girl.
If the party is in a place where sexy costumes are acceptable and she's not the only one dressed like that, I love sexy costumes. They can be a lot of fun! Of course, if the sexy costume comes out at a party with people from the office who shouldn't see you like that, it may be poor taste.
The costume also makes all the difference. If the girl just threw on her sluttiest black outfit and then threw a witch hat or cat ears on her head, I see a girl whose main objective was to be sexy, with the "costume" part of the outfit coming only as an afterthought. If you take some time to create a GOOD costume that happens to be sexy, I love it. Sexy cosplay or crossplay outfits are wonderful. I don't even mind costumes like "sexy giraffe" or "sexy watermelon" or any other sexualized costume you want to come up with, as long as you spend just as much time on the main costume idea as you do on the sexy bit.
For a costume party where sexy costumes are appropriate, I love a bit of sex when combined with a good effort at a creative costume. The store-bought "sexy costumes" like the sexy police officer and sexy maid show to me that your agenda was to be sexy, not to have a creative costume, and I don't love that. I'd save those costumes for the bedroom and think of something better for a costume party.
In short, sexy costumes are great if you want to wear them and you do so in the right situation. BAD costumes, sexy or otherwise, make me sad.

It seems that's all that's available now, so it makes me sad. I don't have the body to wear them.

Try making your own costume, sexy or otherwise! You'll feel a lot better in clothes you pick out yourself than the cheap bagged costumes you find at the costume store the day of the party. You may have to go to thrift stores or borrow things from friends or plan ahead and order the right accessories online, but it is totally worth it. It will take a little more time than a quick run to the costume store, sure, but you'll feel a lot better when you think up something yourself and make it happen.

I wonder why in the world is that kid wearing that. I have noticed in the past few years more and more young teens are wearing sexy costumes what is wrong with their parents.
07/26/2012
I could care less; it isn't my business or place to judge others' attire.

Pink Shirt, I agree. Sexy teen costumes are annoying and sad.
Sexy costumes on adults are another story, I am envious!

It's all you see on halloween and I dont like it. Girls have made halloween an excuse to dress like "sluts" and I think it should stay in the bedroom.

It doesn't affect me if other people dress sexy.
When I was younger, I used to look down on dressing 'slutty'. But, I've grown up the past few years. 've gotten involved in a few body and sex positivity groups. They've really opened my eyes and I've become more accepting of other people.
I dress however I please on Halloween, regardless of if it's sexy or not, and everyone else should do the same~

Depends on the costume and who is wearing it

IT DEPENDS BUT MOST OF THE TIME I LIKE IT

i think the slutty sexy costumes are great for parties and dressing up for yoru man... but should NOT be worn around town trick or treating with kids running around... thats just ridiculous

I like sexy Halloween costumes but not straight from a box. It needs to be personal and creative too. Otherwise, the lack of imagination looks more slutty than sexy.

I think the problem is that if you want a store-bought costume, sexy is the only option. Or gag-novelty; like a strip of bacon. I'm pretty sure most women would prefer "Sexy Where's Waldo?" (mini-skirt & thigh highs included!) to being... a slice of pig-product.
If a woman is going to dress up as Spider-Man, why should the skin-tight suit be replaced with a mini-skirt , high heels, and a low-cut crop top?
Why are the damn crayola crayon costumes mini-dresses?!
Anyway, I'm not necessarily opposed to sexy costumes (I have a Sexy Strawberry Shortcake costume, myself). I'm opposed to the lack of costume options for women. If you want to be sexy, be sexy! But for those not into that kind of thing (or those who don't want to be "Sexy Lampshade" or "Sexy Big Bird" EVERY year), it just leaves them feeling kinda... awkward.

Honestly I very tired of the sexy/slutty Halloween costumes. I'd rather see imaginative, or god forbid SCARY, costumes.
09/02/2012
Fine with me as long as they're wearing revealing costumes at adult Halloween parties, but not in the public where there are lots of kids and teenagers.

a few are sexy, most are so terrible too sexy to look sexy, its more fun when its a mystery, a girl walking around in a mini skirt and bra, is so un mystifying its just trashy! if your going to be sexy, do something that works for you not just some slutty nurse/pirate/cave woman/ whatever costume.
