More than once. I don't mind it, but then again it was only my sisters so of course it wasn't disturbing. The only thing that bothered me was my twin's pain was so extreme and during both mine and her pregnancies, we HAVE "felt each ... more

I've never helped with childbirth, and if it wasn't for all of the blood, I would love to help or observe.

I picked other, because I have never witnessed someone else giving birth but I would if a close friend needed me for moral support.

As for "helping" in any other way, no. I didn't even want to help with my son's own birth. My OB and hospital were great, thank goodness.

I never have and never want to. I sincerely pray I'm never put in a position where I'd have to. I already cringe and walk away when I hear stories, I'd probably puke then either faint or have a nervous break-down, and have nightmares for weeks. At least it wouldn't be my body, though. Never mine.

I was there when my older sister had all 3 of her children. I was really young, too, but it didn't bother me much. It just reaffirmed why I am glad that I will not (and possibly can't) have children. Not to mention her last epidural didn't go so well and now she has some nerve problems .

My 2 biological childrens (I count his 2 as mine too) father was with me through both deliveries. Granted I though he was going to faint, but he toughed it out, cheered me on and cut the cords. His oldest daughter got pregnant when I was pregnant with our youngest and she was also in the delivery room with me when my youngest was born. I in turn was with her when she delivered her son (4 months later) and helped her biological mother cut the cord. I have always been as close to my step children as my own, refusing to differenciate between them.

I haven't helped with one, but had two of my own. The last one my husband delivered b/c we didn't make it to the hospital on time. The baby and I were both ok, but my husband told me to never ever do that again!

I have delivered kittens before, but as for human babies have not watched. I gave birth, have not watched or helped yet. I so want to, but there is no one who will let me. My sister did not even want the doctor down there. And that is all I have.

No, not yet. My sister has had five babies and her last one she was so calm.
She was like.. Hmm, my water broke. I dropped my XBOX controller and was like.. WHAT?
I called my mom and I'm like LEX IS HAVING THE DAMN BABY MOM OMG THE WATER CAME AND STUFF
My mom was like.. Calm down.
I was hyperventilating, and we got the hospital and I was like.. MY SISTER'S HAVING A FUCKING BABY, OMG..
My sister was like.. Yeah, you aren't ready for kids yet. LOL

I was in the room for my sister's first to boys being born...I let the doctor, nurses, and everyone else in the room do the "helping" though! With her #2 baby, I sat in the corner and crocheted while chatting with her (then) boyfriend. She didn't want to have anything to do with either of us, but cried every time we tried to leave the room, lol. With the second, my other half took home her 15 month old son to sleep at our house...first and only time in 7+ years he's ever done the overnight baby-sitting without me!

Her fourth boy is due on Thanksgiving!
