That pesky shower hair ball: whose responsibility is yours?

Our drain prevents a lot of it from going down. But I wash my hair every day so it's a small amount each time. A lot of the time I find it stuck in the spaces between my fingers, like it gets hooked around a finger. This may sound weird but I'll pull it off my hands and stick it to the shower wall and then take my finger to twirl it altogether and then throw it in the trash. If there's any on the drain, I grab it too.

My husband has very short hair so any hair in the drain is mine and there is usually a lot of it!! I am the one who cleans it although he has a few times

I have shoulder length ridiculously thick hair and I've never had a problem with the drain getting clogged. I also don't share a bathroom with anyone so if it did clog it'd be my responsibility.

My hair is a couple inches past my shoulders, and like yours it is thin in actual strand thickness but I have a lot of it. Everytime I was my hair a lot falls out! I stick it up to the wall though and swirl it off with a tissue when I'm done showering. Sometimes I forget to do this but my man has given me such a hard time about it in the past I rarely forget nowadays. Because it goes on the wall it never ends up in the drain.

I'm the only one in my home that has long hair. I try to clean the drain when I notice it's sluggish, but I don't get a whole lot out. My husband usually ends up cleaning it because he likes to get in there and do a really thorough job. Luckily my hair doesn't gross him out at all.

I used to have long hair and I would just clean it after every time I showered. I don't like hair hanging out in the drain.

That's definitely good of your hubby. My partner has a hard time washing dishes after dinner if he doesn't know exactly what's in which one!

I make my fiance do it...but it's all my hair. It grosses me out too much. I'd do it if he didn't, but he's willing (begrudgingly sometimes). I do try to keep it out of the drain though, but I have a TON of hair so it's inevitable some goes down the drain (and stuck to my legs, back, arms, in creases, around my toes, sigh!)

Anyone who's had a baby knows how bad you shed once you hit that post partum hair loss...when that was at it's peak for me, I was literally losing handfuls in the shower - oddly enough though, I lost so much in clumps I was able to keep the drain pretty much totally clean!

I get the hair balls, she cleans the toilet. I can't deal with the toilet and she can't deal with the hair, so it works out.

What type of question is this ? Is there a problem at your house ? Anyway of course the man in our house cleans and clears things like this.
