I mix sunscreen into my regular body lotion. So I use sunscreen on my whole body every day. And I use sunscreen on my face too. But I keep getting more moles and freckles. Do you use sunscreen every day??

Very rarely do I use it

I never use it. I do for my lil ones though. I just put it without mixing it with anything.

I don't use it everyday but I do use it when I am outside, even if the sun isn't out..
I don't know what kind of skin you have but some kinds are more likely to get moles and freckles..especially if you are fair skinned. If any mole or freckle changes color or shape, get it checked by your doctor immediately!!

I probably should but I just don't always remember. I'm covered in freckles but even while wearing sunscreen I sprout new freckles so I'm not sure sunscreen is supposed to stop them from popping up.

I wear it on my face everyday and any other body parts that might be exposed. I've got a ton of freckles.
08/27/2012
No, but I should.
08/27/2012
not half as much as i should
08/27/2012
Nope

Sometimes... I don't put sunscreen on my whole body, though I should (I used to use a body lotion that had SPF in it, but I don't really use lotion that often if at all). However, my facial moisturizer does have SPF in it.

I should, but I suck.

I only use sunscreen when I know i'm going to be in the sun...like while swimming or at the beach.
08/27/2012
Never. I have never worn any--I look young for my age and have a faint tan color due to my Indian relative about 6-7 generations back.
08/27/2012
Neverr!
08/27/2012
I don't, I actually burn worse with it on than if I don't use it.

If you are mixing your SPF in a body lotion, you are lessening it's protective factor! So if it's originally an SPF of 30, you maybe be diluting it down to 5 or less...
Also, it may have something to do with the ingredients in the sunscreen or the body lotion.
Disclaimer: I am not a cosmetic chemist, so everything from here on out is my understanding of things based on what I've read.
Supposedly Zinc is the only true stable sunblock. The others breakdown after a bit of time. I've read that as those other ones (Oxybenzone, Titanium Dioxide, etc.) degrade, they actually INCREASE the amount of sun damage you are taking, versus not even bothering to put any sunscreen on. This is something you'll have to do some research on to decide where you stand on the issue.
Personally, what I use right now is a sunblock with Zinc as the main ingredient, and Titanium Dioxide as it's second ingredient... (it's hard to find a Zinc-only one and many give a white-ish coating to the skin).
Side note: I try to stay away from lavender (can cause premature aging), anything citrus (increases sun sensitivity), linolool (derived from lavender or sweet orange); and I try to avoid anything with alcohol high up on the list as it is very damaging to the skin.
So basically what I'm saying is, at the very least, look into getting a body lotion that already has an SPF in it, and also maybe consider whether or not those ingredients are an issue for you.
I hope this was helpful.

i never really use it, even if im going swimmin maybe ill just a tad bit!
08/27/2012
I probably should on most days, but I don't
08/27/2012
Nope.
08/27/2012
Most of the time no but sometimes I put it on my tattoo that is really exposed to help prevent fading.
08/27/2012
Never. =P
08/27/2012
No, but I don't go outside much.
08/27/2012
I don't use sunscreen unless I go swimming. However, I'm not usually out in direct sun for longer than half an hour at a time. I'm outside at night more often than I am during the day.
08/28/2012
Yup. I have ridiculously sensitive skin.
08/29/2012
No, but I've heard you can look waaay younger if you wear it every day

I try to because I am somewhat allergic to the sun. Sun exposure makes me break out into a rash all over my body. It's call PMLE. It's basically because I am so pale. If I wear sun screen, it doesn't happen as bad, so I try to remember.

i almost never put sunscreen on, i'd literally have to be out in full sun all day long to get even a little burned, i do put it on my kid and my Mister tho lol poor man burns almost instantly without it! my daughter luckily seems to have my skin, she just gets dark and tan, never burns but i dont take chances with her, she gets slathered down with SPF too
