My answer would have been "sometimes" if that had been an option. With people I'm not particularly close with, I find it difficult to get there. With my long term guy, I'm ok with it, although he doesn't prefer it. When I got my IUD installed, I had my period for two and a half months. He got over it pretty quick. Now I bleed for about 45 minutes a month, hallelujah!

I've tried it, and even though it helped with the pain in my back, my husband and I were covered and the sheets were beyond repair. We don't like it for that very reason, we actually soaked a towel.

I generally continue to have sex and masturbate but don't do anything that involves vaginal penetration. I hate the sticky drippy feeling I get when not wearing a tampon while on my period so anything that involves taking a tampon out I'm not comfortable with. I still play with toys and play with my ass. My partner and I tend to do more mutual masturbation types of sex on my period since he has a severe blood phobia (blood in general not just period blood) and is not comfortable being close to the blood. Thankfully my period is only 4 days a month due to my birth control so this isn't that big of a deal.

Before dating my fiance, I was totally against it. I didn't feel attractive during my period and am not gonna lie, worried about the mess. However, my fiance suggested trying it. It took me awhile before I even considered it, and explained to him my reason for hesitation. He understood and worked with me through it. We ended up trying it and although there are times where I chose not to, we do every now and then.

I just know from experience it can be smelly for the guy. I don't mind it in the moment, but I worry about getting blood on the sheets. I know that it's nearly impossible to get pregnant when you are menstruating.

Right now I'm on the Depo shot and I'm still experiencing some random "spotting." While period sex isn't something either of us really planned on having, it's happened more than once.
We use condoms so it's not even that messy, just toss the condom and hop in the shower for some more fun!
