Oh, I had mine for a month and a half when I turned 21. Basically, I couldn't go anywhere. I would literally bleed through a new tampon in 1-2 seconds/a heavy duty pad in ~10 seconds...at that consistent pace for 1.5 months, no joke. So not only was it a long period, it was the heaviest period of my life. To save money, I sat on the toilet all day or sat on towels. I went to the OB/GYN and they couldn't find anything wrong. My guess is that my body was going through the every 7 year change.
Maybe you're going through 7 year change? o.O

I'm sorry this happened to you, (I'm a nurse) but there is no such medical thing as "a seven year change."
Bleeding like that means
something isn't right. A lost pregnancy, a loss of one twin of a twin pregnancy, a polyp on or in the cervix, a hormonal problem, adjusting to new hormonal birth control, endometriosis, some uterine fibroids. This isn't normal.
I had this happen to me and a few years later was diagnosed with endometriosis.
Planned Parenthood will see you for GYN issues, and I urge the OP to go asap. You can get seriously anemic and can actually lose enough blood to cause serious health problems. There are even worse things than endo or fibroids that can cause this kind of bleeding. It may be simply a weird period, but you NEED to have a midwife or GYNE see you asap.
Please.
