I've been shaving for years, but I'm looking more into waxing or something because I hate the stubble. Is any other method really safe? Which do you prefer? Why?
Which method of hair removal is the best?

i used to get waxed every few months and it was great! no razor burn/bumps, your legs stay super smooth for so long and they get exfoliated too!

In general I prefer waxing/plucking.
My hair grows so fast and I get stubble the next day if I shave, so removing the entire hair is the way to go for me.

A combination of epilation and waxing. I hate waxing myself, but it's expensive to go get waxed - not to mention buying the supplies to do it correctly, myself. Epilation works great on my legs and underarms and even some of my less sensitive skin in other regions, although I still won't bring the epilator too close to anything, uh, "tender". I still use wax for that.
The initial cost of a good epilator seemed a bit high until I took into account how much I spent in wax over the course of a year, and that the epilator would last several years. An epilator definitely saves you some money, and you get pretty much the same result as getting waxed.

For me, shaving legs, private region and armpits. Waxing for eyebrows. I wish I wasn't as big of a wuss and could stand to have the other parts waxed instead of shaving every day or every other day.

I've tried every hair removal method available -- really -- and my favorite has been epilating for a little over a whole year now. LOVE it!

Epilating or laser in my opinion.

I wax now and like it, but have thought about laser hair removal. The cost is making me shy away from that, as well as the idea that it might not be as permanent as they claim

I prefer shaving and waxing.

Such a waxing convert! Worth the pain of inconvenience than to have to deal with the ingrown hairs and itching and stubble the next day.

It depends on where the hair is being removed from. I usually shave or pluck. Occasionally wax.

Laser hair removal. My wife had it done on her vagina and pubic mound and she loves it.

I wax, got an at waxing kit for about 60 bucks. The can of wax lasts me about 2 or 3 waxes and costs about 16-18 bucks at Sally Beauty Supply. Not all wax is created equal, I've found, so I'd suggest using Gigi brand Hard Bikini Wax.
If let my hair grow when I'm on my period it's long enough for me to wax off the last day of it. It lasts me about 3 or 4 weeks and then I can do the process again when I'm menstruating again. Pretty good system for me. Totally worth the pain.
If you don't think you can do the whole thing yourself (as your lips are more sensitive), I'd really suggest just doing your pubic bone region. It's not as sensitive and will still give you dramatic improvement.
Good luck!!!

I don't keep up with this anymore but waxing is the best method I ever used. But it is expensive to do.

Cat E.
Waxing is best but it's easier to shave, so that's what I do.

I shave I am too scared to try waxing.

I've tried waxing and it is PAINFUL and it can get expensive.... I will stick to shaving...

Shaving. Hair removal cream makes everything spikier than shaving!

I just got waxed for the first time last month! It hurt a little but it was amazing! I wish there was a place near me so i could keep waxing! Ohh but I always shave my legs, I don't mind that It's the bikini and underarms that bother me!

some day i will get laser treatments. it wont work on my legs because the hair is very fine and blonde, but around my genital region would be nice.

I never have the time to try and go get everything I want waxed :/ so I'm stuck with shaving for now.

I have heard a lot about epilating....I will have to look into it and maybe try it. Can anyone explain it to me?

I much prefer shaving. Waxing produces a great result, but I'm a big baby and it hurts too much, and of course I don't like needing to wait for a long time in between hair removal sessions. Not ideal for me! Shaving is just so much easier.
