How many times to you wash your vagina?

I was always paranoid about my personal odor before I started having sex. Now, I love the scent of my man after sex. He smells sweaty, and it's [italics|hot]. I'm able to accept the idea that he can love my naturally scented vagina for the same reason.

I don't show my genitals any extra care when bathing: just soap the area with my loofah, the same as the rest of me, and rinse. Repeat if desired. Sometimes I'll use a feminine cleansing wipe during the day, such as before sex.

I'm the same way, I hate having any sort of smell down there. I will wash at least once a day, and I have special products just for my vag. I used to use Summer's Eve fem wash, but it has started to sting me a little, but I've switched to Sliquid Splash and love it!

if you wash with water and keep a good diet (research diets for yeast infections, or good ph balance in the vagina) you won't have much of a smell.

smells can come with infections, which can come from washing with soap down there!

so take a chill pill bill. you're beautiful and you smell sexy. vaginas have their own smell. if you dont like the way it smells, wash with water. if you MUST use soap, use a white or off white all natural soap, and then only the tiniest bit. rinse very well, and never use soap inside. you'll be fine.

OMG, i totally thought i was the only person who washed alot (or to much) lol. My thing is i really like to smell like PURE shower gel after my shower. When i shower i soap with my hands, then i rinse off. Then i soap with my wash cloth and i rinse off, then i soap again with my hands. lol .. it's so weird but it's like a routine, and i HATE HATE HATE being rushed to shower !!

I don't give it any special attention. I treat it like the rest of my body and I do not use any internal cleaning methods; it has its own natural ecosystem shit for that, and I don't want to screw that up. Messing with the natural bacterial balance is what causes it to smell, if I recall correctly.

Never had any problems with it smelling, either. When I'm aroused the natural scent intensifies, of course, but my lover seems to enjoy it and I don't find the smell offensive.

It does seem strange to have a whole regimen just for cleaning one's vagina, to be honest.

I don't wash it multiple times in the shower, but I do probably spend more time on my genitals than any other part of the body.

There's really no specific number for everyone, however I do not suffer from odor issues so one good all over cleaning for a couple of minutes is all I need. It's important to know HOW to take care of your vagina and it's just as important to know what ingredients aren't good for it. A cooter is nothing like your arm pits or legs. Cleaning TOO much can cause the same problems you are trying to avoid as well as messing with the balance of things. A vagina was designed very intelligently. In fact I think vaginas are pretty damn smart! Lol. They have a way of "cleaning" themselves. That is NOT to say they still don't need proper cleaning with soap and water because that IS neccessary. If you wash too much you can cause irritations and even infections in some cases. Washing too much with soap can, like I said, mess with it's balance. I wouldn't want to overdo it. Just like your face, it is possible to wash too much and only cause yourself problems. I certainly wouldn't think it neccessary to wash any longer than the few minutes I spend getting soap all over the area, rubbing and rinsing. I honestly don't see how it's possibly for a cooter to smell THAT bad. I get that sweat and stuff can cause odor as well as infections, but surely it can't be any worse than a subtle musk? I don't know I have never had any smell, not even a musk. Wearing clothing and panties that doesn't allow breathing room can cause infections as well as odor, but I do not wear underwear or tight clothing there. You secretions can have a smell and those vary. Some days it may smell sweet, some no smell at all and other days it can have an almost sour smell which is usually dishcharge. I take my shower at night before bed so that way all the sweat, kid's left over food, sticky pop sicles and anything else is gone. I don't like to go to bed dirty or sticky and even if I've not done anything, but work I still feel the need to shower before getting in my bed. I just prefer that. So really there's only one shower needed because I'm going to bed. If I showered in the AM, I would definitely do another before bed. During the day while being busy working and having kids, fishing with the kids, playing in the sand box and being covered in blue sand is not how I want to go to bed! Lol. Ha Ha. Anyways, during the day with all the activity going on, I would just get dirty as soon as I showered so it fits me best to do so at night.

I totally agree! I am soooo against douching and the whole feminine products to "freshen your scent" I done a series of posts on my blog about crazy cooter products and explained my disgust for them. I'm not saying certain products are wrong or that people who use them are. It's just I believe most (MOST) of the companies like to make us women feel unclean just so we buy their products. It's a way to target our cooters! I don't like it, not one bit. I mean some of the things those cooter perfumes say just makes it sound like the companies view vagina's as unclean and that is so far from the truth. There's really nothing dirty about a vagina. Seriously people talk about them like they are sess pools or something. I will not rant longer. Lol. Anyways, I just do not think 'extras' are necccessary.

I was my little lady multiple times while taking a shower, especially if I soak in a tub and shave my legs then I take a shower to rebath and wash everywhere, especially down there. I wash it maybe 4 or 5 times because like you I am always worried I'll smell if I don't. I don't have any special soaps or anything, just whatever soap I have opened, but I am religious about keeping my soap clean. . . is that bad that I wash my soap? lol.
