We do natural family planning. It's a commitment. We've done it for 8 years, and only gotten pregnant the 2 times we planned to.
Do you use birth control? What type?

I have used the Depo and the patch.. The patch is alright if you remember it every week but I highly recommend staying away from the DEPO! It has a lot of side effects that are more long term than any other birth control!

I take Yasmin consecutively to skip my period because I get really bad cramps, but after years of using the pullout method with my BF without any slip-ups we decided that 2 prevention methods are better than one. We've never had a pregnancy scare and peace of mind is priceless

I don't think I'll ever use condoms again (cross my fingers that this relationship lasts!) because the pain and discomfort I went through before realizing I was allergic to latex was enough to put me off for life. It's nice that there are alternative materials though.

Seasonale birth control pills. Three months on, then one week of placebos. I used to get terribly heavy and painful periods, and went through different types of BC pills before I found the right one.
When it comes to condoms, I usually end up getting a reaction to the lube on them, and my boyfriend is, well, on the "well-endowed" side, and I can't find ANY non-lubricated large condoms. Weird, right?

better safe then sorry. ^_^ I how ever am a brat and hate going fishign for condoms so with my steady I don't use condoms just pills. Lately I've lost them though sooooo I've told him straight up I'm not on them because I lost them, if you want to put up with me fretting and being paranoid go for it. Since I'm on other medications he thinks I'm not fertil yet I pointed out that the prescriptions say they weaken the effectivness of the pills.

Chiroprator says each pill I am on adds about 10 pounds to my weight.

For some reason I always get guys that like the pull out method. I've tried birth control pills but they messed up my period and I stopped.

Same here. It's a great alternative to condoms in a fluid-bonded relationship where a hormonal method is not desired.

Condoms and the pill - I take Trinessa, which has gotten some bad reviews, but I've had no side effects and I've been taking it for five months *shrug*

I usually am on birth control, but I'm breastfeeding right now so I'm taking a break from it and... well... not sure, guess we'll be using condoms or nothing

I am on the Depo shot every three months works for me.

No pills, no condoms, no diaphragms or spermicide, or IUDS or vasectomy (yet). Wanna talk about freaking out? I was 9 days late this month. I *knew* I wasn't pregnant, but I wasn't sure if my body knew, if that makes any kind of sense whatsoever.
I've been incredibly stressed out for the last sixty days and my body responded in kind. Now I'm tracking it through mymonthlycycles.com so I can keep a better handle on it than in the past. I will never go back on the pill. I was miserable and completely not myself when I was taking them.

I'm on the condom boat (we use crown brand) ever since I got off the pill. I tried several and while I don't have trouble remembering to take it, it kills my libido and makes me crazy so I just stopped using hormonal bc altogether. I prefer not to put chemicals into my body anyway, and condoms certainly make clean-up easier.
01/23/2012
I don't like to put chemicals in my body unnecessarily, so I don't use BC.

Right now, pull & pray. Until my husband has a vasectomy!
01/24/2012
I was on the pill for about two years when I first started having sex with problems but then my hormones when all crazy so I stopped taking them. Now I use condoms, but I am considering getting a copper IUD at some point.

I got Mirena about 6 months ago. BEST reproductive decision of my life!!! I absolutely love this thing. I have NO worries of pregnancy and don't have to remember pills or condoms of any sort. It's awesome!! And it's stopped my periods entirely!
02/07/2012
I'm pretty paranoid about pregnancy so I use both condoms and the Nuvaring. Currently single and partnerless but I am still on the Nuvaring because it makes me feel 100% better. I can actually function during my periods now.
02/09/2012
I can't do the pills, I have a bad memory lol. Nuva Ring before IUD for me.

I have the Paragard IUD. I've had it in for 3 months, and it's been treating me just fine.

I use the pill. It helps with my acne and cramps too.

Replied "other" because we haven't used any form of birth control/contraceptive in three years. Married, and very much committed to each to each other. Trying for another child so there is no fear or risk for us. But I have PCOS so the getting pregnant part has been a pain in the butt.
