When I was/am sexually active with men (rare), I like to use barrier methods. I haven't had good experiences with hormonal birth control methods so I'd rather use a condom or something similar because I don't have to live with the hormonal changes.

The IUD was the best option for me because hormones gave me mood swings like nobody's business. Condoms are good too.

I have an IUD and I love it. It requires no care, I don't have to remember to take anything. And as an added bonus mine stopped my periods too.

Be careful with Implanon I had it for 6 months and had non-stop bleeding that made me anemic and constantly sick.

I use condoms right now due to problems with using other methods. I've tried Depo, Implanon, and a few different pills.
