Mine gets brown and the end, but I don't think it's been black. And I've never been concerned about it.

Mine is brown to black every single period for at least one day. Sometimes it's later, sometimes it's the first day.
Heck, even on my 'normal' days, it's dark enough to be the blood from the opening credits of Sweeney Todd.

It seems perfectly normal. But if anything really bothers you, you should talk to your doctor about it.

I always am brown or black, i find. I'm usually only red the first day, I think. I bleed very large amounts, however.

I have a lot of chunks and stuff in my period blood and I found that that's normal. My blood will turn brown around day 3 of my period (my period is roughly 5 days)

Mine looks like ink sometimes. Sometimes it's thick and brown toward the end. It has pretty much always been that way.

Mine's like that now. I had to stop my birthcontrol (Desogen)that was SUPPOSED to help me with my painful periods since it fucked me over physically and mentally.
I usually have rather large blood clots, debilitating cramps, filling up a softcup in about 4-5 hours (pads in 2). But it usually only lasts 4-5 days and the hell days are only 2-3 of the total period.
