It's a neutral word. It really does depend on what it is applied to as to if it sounds hot or gross.
The "Moist" Poll

I know a lot of people who really dislike it, but personally it doesn't bother me.

Moist is just a word.

Wet = Hot
Moist = Old lady who is too dehydrated to get to 'wet'..... that is my connotation....lol. I know that isn't the case, BUT, it's just what I think of. And I hate the word panties.
An example: "My panties are moist." Sounds like something an old lady would say.... right?

Gently grosses me out. Just like yolk.

Have you been wathcing HIMYM? Lily is afraid of the word.
12/01/2011
Doesn't gross me out..
12/02/2011
The only time the word "moist" creeps/grosses me out is when a friend of ours says something like "That makes me moist" in this horrible raspy voice that makes him sound like an old woman who's smoked her whole life.
Yeah, weird right? But if you heard this guy, it's send a creeped out little shudder down your spine too!

Personally, I like saying/hearing I'm wet more than moist. That's sexier to me.
12/02/2011
I like it.
12/07/2011
I don't really like it. I used to think it was gross, but then it was used in a comical line from my favorite TV show so now I usually just laugh and am reminded of that when someone says it.

I don't like the word moist, especially if it's being associated with my "business district." Fertile soil sounds scary to those of us who aren't looking for more babies!
