Softer. I have to feel the vibrations on my fingers, and hard materials cunduct it more. (I hate holding hair dryers for the same reson.)

I like the harder vibes with velvety surfaces (like the Lelo vibes, or the Uma or Form6). I think the sensations are just much more pronounced.
