I sometimes forget but for more expensive items I feel it's safer to remove if it's not gonna be used for a while incase there's a leakage..it'd be a royal pain in the backside to clean.
Do you take the batteries out of your vibrators when they are not in use?

I hate searching for batteries so half the time I find myself taking them out of one toy and putting them in another.
12/04/2010
never thought about doing it
12/04/2010
I do sometimes. I tend to just open the bottom of the toy so the charge wont run through but the batteries are still in when I put it away.

I share my batteries among my toys, so it depends on which one got used last and which I'll use next.

I try to but sometimes I just forget

I move my batteries from my remote, to my mouse, to my keyboard, to my vibrator, to a bajillion other things around the house, so yes.
12/06/2010
I leave the batteries in if it's a toy that I use regularly.
However, I remove the batteries if they are running low or if it's a toy that I use only occasionally.

I have like one toy I can leave the batteries in no matter what and it won't eat the juice but i usually take them out of my other ones, especially my one bullet. I always take them out otherwise by the next day its dead.
12/06/2010
I leave the batteries in most of the time. I just never think to take them out.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who can't be bothered. Or forgets.
Plus I don't fear leakage cause I only use rechargeable batteries. The only time they come out of the toys is when I recharge the batteries or if I have to pinch a set from one toy for another. But I have a number of sets of batteries so that doesn't happen often.
It's nice to just grab a toy and knowing it's ready for ya.
I'm like P'Gell - when I want a toy in action, I want it now - not 5mins - 10mins later....hehehe.
I'm impatient.

For instance, I tried out a new toy today. It takes C batteries. I have never had a toy that required C batteries before, I am pretty sure. I couldn't find any in our house, it was frustrating the hell out of me, because I really wanted to watch a new video (Tristan's new one) and try this toy. It took me an hour to find some C batteries......in one of my kids's toys. (Hey, she never plays with it anymore.)
My Man has less patience than I have. I can't imagine rummaging through drawers looking for fresh batteries, or accidentally using old ones, in the heat of the moment. I imagine people who do this are really organized and have the batteries at the ready. But, batteries lying around in a drawer aren't much safer than ones sitting in the toy. I haven't noticed any battery drain from leaving them in toys. We use Duracell or Duracell Advanced, and change them as soon as I notice the power is going.
It works for us. IMO, this is really one of those "mileage" things.

I know I should always take them out, but I'm lazy. I do it maybe half the time, and I'm much more diligent with the toys that were more expensive or are my favourites.
02/22/2011
I always take the batteries out, because I'm paranoid that they'll corrode inside of my toys and ruin them if I don't.
02/22/2011
Sometimes. I usually try to

If it is out of use for more than a couple weeks
04/19/2011
I should, but I tend to forget

I take them out, just because I don't want to bump the box it is in or anything and have it turn on. I get nervous about silly things.

I take them out just because when I bought my first vibrator I of course did a ton of research and was told that you were supposed to do that so now I'm just in that habit.
04/29/2011
YES!!!
I never used too, but was buying over 100kuai worth of batteries each week to keep up with my habit. It got to the point where I had to start buckling down on the expenses and needed to figure out a way to cut costs.
So I did an experiment.
I use a toy for about twenty to forty minutes for each session, I left the batteries in one toy, and took them out of another. Making sure to use each toy for approximately the same amount of time each day. Both toys were a Fun Factory gtwist needing four AAA batteries.
The one toy where the batteries were left in, needed to be replaced on a daily basis, due the the lacking of intensity of the vibrations, and had a nasty habit of dying right at the good parts. Now this part might just be the toy itself, or something else entirely. But this toy's motor died after about six months of use.
The toy where I removed the batteries, the batteries lasted so so so very long with still the same intensity of vibrations. At the moment I have been using these same four batteries for approximately two weeks, about an hour each day.

Depends on how often I use a toy. If it's one I'm likely to reach for again soon, the batteries stay in. If it's one I may not bother with for a while, they come out.
I know the batteries and toys will benefit if I remove them every time... I'm just really lazy about it.

I take them out and put them in the charger. It just seems like a good idea to always have fully-charged batteries on hand.

When they are not in use? LOL

They are rechargeable and built in.

Can't say I have ever switched, though I know I *should*!
