Assuming you have a decent-sized toy collection, do you find yourself sticking to just one or two favorites, or do they all get used at one time or another?

I have quite a collection, but I tend to stick to my Mystic Wand and Bimini Ocean.

I definitely do this.

I think you're in the right direction in researching and reading reviews. To narrow your 400+ I would probably set a price range, exclude porous materials, and look at versatility (some work well for various kinds of stimulation). It depends on your living situation too. If you have roommates or children you may prefer a quieter toy. I have developed a collection over a while and enjoy having a couple to choose from for different kinds of stimulation e.g. g spot vs wireless.

I love my Tango vibe. It never fails to give me some powerful orgasms.

Usually, the more toys he uses on me - the better.
When it's "me time", my perfect combo these days is the French Kiss dildo + Eden Massager that stimulates the whole labia zone. The orgasms are fabulous

You can use it for pinpoint stimulation of the sweetest spots on your body. The curve is great for G-spot stimulation and anal teasing during oral sex. All in all, I highly recommend this dil to anyone.

It depends. If I want some fun experimental playtime where I try to familiarize myself with newer toys or toys I don't use as much, then it tends to be a bit of everything. If I specifically just want to blow of steam or take care of a "problem," I tend to pick from the same five or so toys that I know can make me orgasm. I often switch between those toys, though. I was a one-toy person for a long time but I'm learning the joys of having options, and playing around with the different types of stimulation you can get from different toys.
I will say that if you are looking to start a collection, you should definitely a) read reviews, and b) learn from what you like about toys you've already tried. For example, my first vibrator didn't have enough girth for me, so with a bit of trial and error I managed to figure out that I usually prefer toys with 1.25-1.5in girth; that's now one of the first things I check when I see an interesting new toy.
The other thing to remember is that inexpensive toys aren't necessarily worse than the expensive, high-end ones. Some of my favorite vibrators cost less than $25. Unfortunately some have been discontinued, but the Crush Waterproof G-spot Vibrator is one of my all-time faves and easily takes down vibes that cost twice its price. The Orgasm Enforcer is another good, inexpensive option, especially if you're a bit of a size queen; it's great for clit stimulation, too. Personally, I'm a big fan of choosing vibes that work for multiple purposes - the Orgasm Enforcer is meant as a penetrative vibe, but the tip works perfectly for clitoral stim; I usually use it externally more often than internally, to be honest. Most insertable vibes can double as clitoral vibes and some are actually ideal for it, so even if you're all about the C-spot, don't discount them!
I wouldn't fixate on price; look for the inexpensive toys that have good reviews, and try to find ones that fit the specs you know you like. That's the best way to build a stash of toys that will fit all your needs!
Also, pro tip: keep an eye on promotions and freebies (e.g. "3 for $50," "free egg vibe with purchase of $29+", etc.) I got quite a few of my vibrators cheaply or for free by buying deals, kits, etc. instead of buying each one outright. It's also great for trying out things you aren't sure you'll like without paying top dollar for them.

I have quite a few toys myself, but I do find myself sticking to my combo that I started with because it works best for me. I think if you tried buying some cheaper ones to get a feel for what you're into, then you'll be able to figure out where you wanna go from there!

I've accummulated a decent-sized collection by now, and while I definitely have my favourites, I generally find myself using a fair variety of toys in the span of, say, a week. I don't have a specific schedule or rotation, but I find that different toys work for different moods, and I like having a variety to choose from. Sometimes I want something that's just small and effective, sometimes I want something bigger and more filling. Sometimes I want to be vibrated into oblivion, while other times I want something that feels more realistic (thank you, dual density silicone). Sometimes I want something just for my clit, other times I want to stimulate ALL my hot spots (which sometimes includes my nipples and my bum). Sometimes I'm down to use many different toys in a single session, while other times I'm feeling lazy and just want to get off without having to clean multiple toys when I'm done.
So yeah, my sex moods can be kind of mercurial, and I really enjoy having a collection that can satisfy a variety of cravings.

I have tons of toys but I always find myself using the same one which is my Satisfyer. Sometimes I try my other ones and I enjoy it but the Satisfyer is my go-to.

It depends on the mood I’m in.. i have toys that suck and toys that lick... some that vibrate... some that don’t. It’s why i love having such a huge variety.
