I'm pretty sure I've mentioned once or twice that you're brilliant. If I haven't, allow me to do so now. Brilliant!

I would start with something cheaper because if your friend doesn't know what she wants you can try a lot more if they don't cost as much. Plus you can get some good toys at a deal here.

We voted "luxury", but only because they shouldn't be ruled out. You have a huge amount of resources - especially the reviews- on this site that will guide you to the best product for you. No matter if it's expensive, or cheap, if you like it, you like it!

Inexpensive, but only if the material is safe. She'll be able to at least get an idea of what she likes and then buy a more expensive toy down the line if needed.

Probably select a few from the cheaper category. Get the ones made of non-porous and safe material.

I think starting with less expensive vibrators is a good idea. If I had never used a toy before and had started with the hitachi I would have never wanted to use another vibrator ever again.

I would definitely say choose a few inexpensive things so she can find what she likes. It would be a shame to drop a bunch of money on something kind of expensive and have her not like it!

This list is fantastic. I started her looking at these, and I think we might have some winners on here. Thanks so much, Kira!

Good list, Kira. One of my favorites is the Ultimate Massager. It doesn't look like a sex toy and may convert some shy people to.... the dark side.... mwhahahhahahaaa!!!!!

Seriously, you put together a great list.

Probably wouldn't go cheap nor expensive. Go somewhere in the middle range. Find something that is good quality and wouldn't be off putting to someone who is new.

I'd definitely recommend getting a variety of cheap toys to let her figure out what she likes, then get her a nice one of her favorite. Hopefully none of the cheap ones completely disagree with her and throw her opinion off haha, but if she's completely inexperienced, you gotta try everything before you know, it's better than starting off with an expensive toy that she might not even like!

Probably some inexpensive ones. My first toys were pretty cheap and then I moved up to luxury ones once I figured out what I liked.

A few inexpensive ones, to try out different sensations and to see what they like.
