I've been hogtied with plain ol' rope and enjoyed it every time. Although I prefer regular rope to special restraint thingies, I'd be open to one of those hog tie thingamajigs.

I actually ordered a hog tie set, spreader bar, and thigh to wrist ties (ordered from Wish app and was surprisingly and pleasantly amazed at the quality). It's something you've got to have enough trust in each other to enjoy especially depending on how each handcuff/strap/etc fastens closed (mine have mini padlocks w/keys) so trust your gut
