I hate silicone because it is so safe and popular. If all the sex toy materials went to high school together, silicone would probably be the rich cheerleader.

I can't stand jelly toys. Personally, I like to have sex with my husband when he is erect, not FLACID! Seriously, I don't understand how people could enjoy the feeling of a flacid toy. I need LEVERAGE!

Umm, and wash them. In the dishwasher. A lot. And they never get splinters. Wooden dildos sealed properly will never splinter.

I can't stand jelly toys anymore, they are so worthless! Silicone all the way

I haven't had a jelly toy in who knows how long so I won't even comment on that, but I have a TPE toy, yup, I hate it.
My preferences, since the list is shorter:
Glass
Steel
Silicone
and some plastics if made well, but I generally try not to insert them
I really want a ceramic toy as well

Interesting. I like see-through rabbit vibes -- that keeps me from being tempted to take them apart to see how they work. Probably just me, though.

I'd actually take a stinky rubber toy over most jelly, tpr, tpe, etc toys.

Jelly, especially for smells and because it does meltdown randomly if it touches the wrong things. Go figure.
10/22/2009
Jelly. It is sticky, it melts, it stinks and is not the cleanest of materials.

Latex that is do to the fack that my wife being in the medical field she has accuired a allergy to it from the gloves she use to where all the time

The most disgusting thing to me is when companies scent their products, probably to mask the smell of the rubber, or whatever. But to me, any artificial scents are much more off-putting than the identifiable smell of the material itself. I once had a toy from the Doc Johnson's Naturals line that I had to throw out because the fake sort of powdery scent was so strong and repulsive.

Jelly, because it smells funky, feels weird (it almost feels sticky sometimes?), and attracts lint, hair and general debris like a bitch!
05/27/2010
Stinky, stinky rubber!

I hate latex and soft jelly. I have allergies and I like to be able to breathe and not have hives. And I hate the smell of latex and soft jelly. Shower curtain! Bleh.

Wood, because it's weird, ugly, and it kills trees!

Actually NobEssence uses sustainable wood, so their wood is actually a very earth friendly material to be making toys out of. Much more earth friendly than chemical ridden toys. I'm not sure about oher companies that make wooden toys.

Jelly. Can't stand the scent, the texture, or the fact that you can never really get it clean/sanitized. I also really hate the taste and smell of rubber.
07/28/2010
Well, I almost put Jelly, but had to go with Other instead. My LEAST favorite (which I dislike slightly more than Jelly) is Stainless Steel.... because I'm allergic to it! Or, rather, the nickel in it. Even stainless steels that claim to be nickel-free generally have a little bit in them, and I am severely allergic.

Jelly was my pick, but I'm highly suspicious of anything that isn't silicone, glass, wood, or metal (or maybe ceramic.) Some people may use things like plastic for years without getting any horrible results, but I could just never enjoy myself if I was even the slightest bit worried about leaking strange chemicals into my body.
08/22/2010
Jelly is the worst for cleaning I think so far anyway I have not used Cyberskin yet

Jel-Lee - it STINKS!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly don't care for plastic. It can be cheaply made and it just doesn't feel right. Feels more like a medical exam them a good time.

SilaGel is an additive (a bacteriostatic material) to other materials like PVC. It smells hideous and the smell comes off on your skin and hands, even when you use a condom. The smell doesn't seem to fade much, over time or with much washing. We have a SilaGel realistic vibrator that is years old, has been washed hundreds of times, and still smells. I don't know why we still have it. My Man is loathe to throw anything away. I would never use it again. (It also has a seam separation, which is just a bacteria and fungi magnet.)

It's truly awful stuff. And, as it is a proprietary blend, they can call it whatever they want. Personally, I think the "hint" of "sil" as in "Silicone" (which it isn't) is disingenuous.

Jelly since the material isn't very safe.
