Pyrex glass, is it safe? Take a look here and find out.

Contributor: ToyTimeTim ToyTimeTim
So, just how strong is Pyrex glass? Well, I put it to the ultimate test! Take a look and see for yourself.

While this is not the "Tell all, be all end of tests" it does give you an idea on how strong Pyrex is. Not only that, it shows you just what happens when a glass toy breaks.

This is my first test for Pyrex, the next test will show what happens when Pyrex goes from the freezer to a pot of boiling water.

What glass wand would you pick?

What is your go to dildo? I prefer glass because it uses much less lube and is a smoother ride.

Wow. That was awesome to see. I wonder that if it has things like bulbs and all, places where it gets thinner essentially, it has a higher chance of breaking.

Could be Goth, but did you notice that most of the balls broke more towards the middle of them? Kind of strange, eh? Maybe it was the glass being hit in a small place instead of a larger area?

It may just be how that one hit the table.

Fantastic video! I really enjoyed it! Will keep this URL handy for the next time this question is asked. My man said it was like watching an episode of Mythbusters!

Really was strange. Seems it broke mostly at the pinched places, too.

Also, I dropped my beloved clear ribbed G-spot wonder from several feet up onto a tile floor. It didn't break. Of course its only my favorite glass toy that I dropped.

I went and pulled the pieces out of the trash, they broke in both places, the joints and the center of the balls. ~scratches head~ lol

I dont think youd have as much of a problem going cold to hot as hot to cold. I was sleeping one night and woke up to a huge smash and screaming while at school. My roommates made cake in a pyrex glass tray and decided they couldnt wait for it to cool down to frost it, so they took it from the oven to the snowy winter outside and within literally seconds it blew up.

They werent very smart girls and this proved it further. I took all of my cookware out of the kitchen the next morning rest assure.

Figures, it is always the toys you love that that happens to. I once dropped the Pure Wand in the sink where my Gold Laced G was, scared the crap out of me. That's what made me think of doing this test.

The microscopic weak spots in the glass are evenly distributed it seems.

Cold to hot will cause breakage too. Don't worry. I've seen it happen. Glass doesn't expand OR contract evenly when heated/cooled quickly.

It is the extreme change that causes breakage. I learned that way back in JR high home economics.

I am pretty sure that no one will do this on purpose but we always talk about it in reviews. I just figured this would be a great visual aid to back our warnings.

I had on safety glasses. As far as the rest of my body (legs) they have endured way worse than flying glass. Plus, I knew that it would break into chunks, not a billion shards of glass.

I will defiantly be wearing more for the temp test, scalding hot water is not my thing.

It was a good way to meet girls. lol Plus I worked at a shoe repair shop, the owners wife taught me how to sew leather. I figured the class would be an easy A, and I liked to cook. I was the teachers pet and most of the girls always wanted to be my partner.

I still sew today, my sewing machine puts most sewing machines to shame. It will sew silk just as good as the thickest canvas.
