Borosilicate glass test 02
08/19/2011
Man, my heart was pumping, expecting the toys to explode and shoot in every direction, good thing they pulled through with flying colors! Great job, Tim!
I hope nobody will miss this video, so we won't see any more new posts asking if glass dildos are safe?

I have to say I also was secretly hoping for a big BOOM! Just because it woulda been cool to see. In another life, Dwtim, you'd totally be one of those science teachers always taking us on field trips trying desperately to get us interested in the course material. And I? Would be that student that was interested...just as long as something went BOOM!

BRAVO DWTIM!
So what is next on Professor Dwtim's science for the horny?

We should totally call this "Dildo Busters" or something like that!
Thanks for the sacrifices for science!

I agree, about different companies glass. I would say it also has to do with the artisans that make said glass, some are better at their craft than others.

This is really cool. Thanks for doing this video. A lot of people need to see what the extremes are with glass so they can stay safe! I'm just surprised that this one didn't break. I've actually had a toy break going from warm water to a glass of ice. I think it really depends what company you buy from. I read somewhere in an article that not all borosilicate glass toys are slightly different and that's why. But like I've said, it has only happened once thank God. I'm sure glass companies are a lot more careful about the components of their glass these days... especially since they are going inside of us!

When I was a kid? HA, I still do! lol Way to many to count, I have been turning wrenches for over 35 years. One of my other hobby's is radio controlled cars, the kind that can be fixed when broken. Take them apart, modify, and sup-up those all the time.

That's what I am hopping too. I see one every month or so and figured this would be a great way to show folks.

Ya, a small part of me is sad, not that I like killing toys (OK yes I do sometimes) but I was hopping for a result like the drop test.

In the immortal words of James Franklin Hyneman... "Jamie want big boom!"
Great 2nd installment to this video series! I don't think anyone has orifices of steel either (but if they do, I'd like to see them). This should really help newcomers to glass feel safer about playing!

LingaLoo and JessCee, I am open for suggestions, what would YOU like to see.
The only thing I have planned (sort of) is lighting TPR and Jelly dildo's on fire, just to watch them burn. Jelly cuz it makes a cool puddle and TPR cuz I hear it lights/burns faster that paper.

haha, seems like everyone wants big boom! I am half tempted to do one more just to see one go. Might have to use a torch to warm it up first, that probably would do it.

Too bad there's no enamel toys, I've just posted a thread early this morning warning EFers who own Martha Stewart's enamel cast iron casseroles there's a recall , it's about the enamel cracking and flying off. The details weren't very clear, didn't mention what caused it to crack.

Probably bad prep before the enamel is applied. Sure would suck to ruin a good casserole though.

YES! THAT! I want to see it burn too. I can't really think of much that "could" have a dramatic event like exploding glass though. I would like to cut open a dual density dildo just to see any differences, if any but I am not will to hurt my precious Vixskin and o2 toys

Maybe a stress test on an average set of silicone anal beads? See just how much they will stretch before tearing?

I have a couple of silicone C-rings that I could stretch to there limits, maybe use some weights or something and see what it would take. Sound good to you?
