I really want to try this lube. I will make sure to patch test all my toys first but I can't resist wanting this.

I'm very, very new to toys and bought this thinking it was safe for silicone as it was water-based. now, thanks to this discussion, I'll be sure to do spot tests with it. thank you for bringing this up!

Used this with sportsheets, dils for does, and feeldoe silicone dildoes without a problem. At the local shop, they don't consider this to be a silicone lube--they say it is safe with *HIGH-GRADE* silicone toys.

It is decent stuff. Did you ever try it?

While this may not be useful to everyone, as someone who has very sensitive skin and often breaks into rashes as a result of lotions and such, this was an extremely helpful review

Definitely going to be more careful about this in the future.

It's too bad that not everyone knows that dimethicone is a silicone. It's used in many hand lotions and also as hair conditioner.

well its in almost every silicone lube i've seen and it ends in cone so really it should have been obvious

If silicone-based lube is going to mess up a toy, it will do so on contact. If you have not had any ill effects, it is probably *not* going to magically start messing it up now - unless they change their formula, but it seems to be a really great product, so I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

Yeah. I bought Liquid Silk thinking I could use it with my newest silicone toy but after reading all this NOPE. And that totally sucks since I specifically bought it for that (I even narrowed down my search on Eden for lubes that will work with silicone) Now buying some Sliquid. Just goes to show READREADREAD before you buy. :c

To be honest I didn't read the ingredients for this lube until a few months ago... I've been using it with my silicone toys for 6 years and there was no break down with any of the silicone toys I used it with. I think it reacts with lower quality silicone. If it's a medical grade silicone toy you will be ok. Always do a patch test though. Liquid silk claims to be a water based lube. It is technically a hybrid lube because it has dimethicone. But I personally have had no issue with any of my toys. I wouldn't use a regular silicone based lube but I think some hybrids are ok for most silicone toys. But you always take a risk using silicone on silicone
