If you bought lingerie to wear with your other half and you break up what do you do with the Lingerie you have worn for him/her and the Lingerie that is still in the package with tags still on it never taken out of the box?
What do you do with lingerie after a breakup?

I had a couple of pieces that were just for photo-shoots (which meant they were worn once) and a few things that were tried on for a future photo-shoot. Then former-Master ended things. Since the stuff was for him, I don't want it anymore and I've been giving it away because they're still in great shape. The last is being mailed to a friend as soon as I get to the post office.
The pieces I had before I met him but had photographed are definite keepers - they weren't bought with him in mind. Which is good, because I'm wearing one of those outfits to a Wizarding Ball in a few weeks.
I don't think I'll get rid of the 'SLAVE' collar, though. That's too special to part with. It'll go in his memory box.

I keep the lingerie if I've worn it and I really like it, if I don't I give it to a friend if they want it. I never have unworn lingerie, I always put it on as soon as I get it.

Keep.

I would keep everything I've got because I get things for me, to make me look and feel sexy. I don't buy it for my other half.

I would keep the lingerie

I've never been in this issue, but if something ever happened to my husband and I, I don't think I could toss all my lingerie.
06/28/2012
I don't see a reason to throw it out.
06/28/2012
I keep all of it.

I agree. I would keep it if I like it! You wouldn't get rid of your fav dress, or your fav jeans after a breakup.

If i like it i would keep it even if i wear it

Other? Before I met my current partner I didn't really have much lingerie. I don't think I'd be able to wear the things I have now for anyone else if we broke up now... But I wouldn't want to toss it either.. I think I'd keep my favourites and just not wear them. Ya I'm a pack rat.

I buy all my lingerie with me in mind, so I would keep it all. If it is too painful, sell it on the classifieds or give it away to friends. But this is yours and it makes sense to wear it for your own pleasure.

if I like it I keep it

whatever isn't worn I give away, the rest I throw out. Not like I can't re-buy.
06/28/2012
I don't think breaking up with someone is any reason to get rid of lingerie.

Thanks for the responses!!
I mean I just don't know I can't even wrap my head around everything that has happened. I bought the pieces with me in mind mostly but they were bought for a pinup shoot for him which I NEVER did

If I've worn it for the ex, I toss it. New, keep it or give it as a gift to a friend.

I'm exactly the same. I keep it if I like it and give to a friend if I don't. I usually try everything on when I get it but keep my undies on in case it's unflattering and I want to give it away.

I keep it, I wear lingerie to please myself, it is a bonus if my partner likes it. So I don't really attach memories of my partner to any particular piece on lingerie.

Keep!

Thanks for all the responses!! I mean I know it sounds silly to just toss it cause it was bought to wear for the ex. I just didn't want to wear it for someone else if I had already worn it for the ex. *sigh* its just a disaster but I am going to keep everything

Garments are garments. Not gonna throw shit out over a shitty breakup.
07/23/2012
In the past, I got rid of it. I don't want to risk my ex popping into my head if I'm with someone else. Talk about a buzz kill.
