I was wondering how people feel about push up bra's, I have a really sexy one that I've never worn because I feel uncomfortable with a faux alteration in my appearance. I wanted to know what others thought about them to see if all this iffy-ness is just a neurosis of mine. This poll is mostly geared towards women but I would like men's input as well.

I only have one, and I'm not super crazy about the fit of it so I only wear it every once in awhile. I love the look of push up bras though, so I think if I got one that fit me better I'd wear them more often.

i am a D-cup, but still wear a push up bra on occasion if i am wearing something low cut that i want to draw attention to. i don't wear it to make my boobs look bigger, i wear it to create more attractive cleavage. the push up bra makes them look rounder & perkier since mine tend to hang quite a bit. i have 1 that is not very comfortable, but the other 1 i have is much more comfortable & i tend to wear that 1 over the other. but again, i don't wear them often. maybe 3 or 4 times a yr. i got them both from wal-mart.

I am a 42D, I am chocking in a push up bra!! No neck boobs!! Sorry, got a bit carried away, but it feels like my boobs are strangling me when I try to wear one.
09/27/2011
I like push up bras because I have very prominent nipples. They show through most bras, even ones with a fair amount of padding. I also feel like they give more support. I'm a 34D, but I usually don't look it!

I'm a B cup and I love my pushup bras because they give me some really nice cleavage. I don't wear them all the time, but I own more than a few.
09/27/2011
I am too young to have the saggy boobs that I do--c'est la vie!--so I wear push-up bras 50% of my bras are push-up.
09/27/2011
I'm a 38c, and I generally go braless....I don't even own a push-up.

That's a very good point I never thought of that. I would assume that when you have perky nipples, I'm a 34C and mine tend to stand to attention quite a bit, so I just wear a bra with thicker padding. This doesn't completely solve the problem but it's not as bad as the thinner cuped bra's.

I wear them occasionally when I want to draw more attention to my cleavage. Usually just when I'm dressing up for my man.
I do always wear a well lined bra though, to prevent the nips from showing. I HATE it when my nipples show, I'm kind of paranoid about that.

Oooh I'm 22 and I don't think I could go braless, not because they sag but I can feel every bounce and I'm pretty sensitive.

I wear them on occasion, more with formal or party wear. I think they're kinda fun

Love them.

I can understand the faux appearance. I think it can be false advertisement with some of the smaller cup girls(flaunt what you have and be proud of them, don't lie with a super pushup/padded bra is my logic). Nothing more disappointing then seeing a girl/guy with clothes on looking super hot and then when they take it off they are completely different then what you pictured.

I'm starting to think we might be the same person. First, I saw that you also love Close2you in the brand loyalty thread, and now you have the same nipple problem and bra size.

In addition to my prominent nipples, I also think my breasts look really saggy when I don't wear a push-up bra because of my short torso.

I never wear push-up bras. I feel like if someone tried to feel me up, they'd get a hand full of padding and it would be a turn off. I'm considering getting some for days I want to look a little extra busty though. I haven't worn one since the 8th grade.
09/27/2011
I'm a 34-D, I really don't need a push-up bra. I find that with a regular bra that is well fitted I get all the support and cleavage I need.
09/28/2011
If I am wearing something that just doesn't look right without one, I will wear a push-up, but I don't really need them as my girls actually cooperate and look good in most clothes.
09/28/2011
I don't have any ethical objections or anything, but I don't like the way they make me look. I'm much more attracted to lower-breasted looks. The softer, smoother lines draw attention not *just* to my breasts, but to my belly and thighs. I look and feel much better wearing no bra at all, in fact. I dear wear a bra when exercising, though, because otherwise my boobies hurt a bit. But I'm a 44G, so...
But a fair number of people love push-ups, and I advocate wearing whatever makes you feel happy and gorgeous.

Not so big on the padding, and I kind of think the whole thing is a little silly. You can get a good quality balconette and it does all you could ever want and ask for, generally without the gobs of padding. A proper fitting bra goes a long way!

I'm a natural 36 D-cup, but I do love wearing push-up bras. I do feel self-conscious about it sometimes, especially when I notice people staring at them.
09/28/2011
I love the look, I just find bras with underwire uncomfortable.
09/28/2011
I wear 34DD or 36D depending and all I wear are push-ups. Because of the weight of my boobs, regular bras seem to not hold them up enough and I feel like they're down to my stomach. Stupid gravity. Push-ups hold them up to where they are supposed to be. Even more so after having my son.
09/28/2011
I am a 34B so when I am doing something special, I always wear a pushup bra. I do enjoy showing some cleavage. I do feel boob impaired .
09/28/2011
I don't think I can express the amount of hate I have for push-up bras. I'm an A-cup and I almost never see sexy bras in my size that aren't push up bras. The message I get from this is: "Either you're a child and don't need sexy bras, or you're a very unfortunate woman, here let us add padding so you can wear this sexy bra and it'll make you look like you have better breasts." I actually once had a Victoria's Secret employee tell me "I don't think we have push-up bras that are padded enough for you." I took my problem to her manager.

I love them! I'm a C cup with a little extra, but I still love the way I look in a push up. (And so does The Man.) Not a 2 or 3 cup increase, but a nice little pad to push the girls a little closer together and give that nice curve right where the blouse dips down. MMMM
And not to mention these bras help them go where they, um, used to be a few short year ago, before the kids arrived.

I have yet to try one on that I like. They usually leave a big gap at the top. :-/

Once again, you took the words right out of my mouth.
I am a a 38D or DD depending on the bra brand and their idea of correct sizing, but I love a bit of a push up, in a demi-style bra. The low-cut cup is such a sexy look.
I like my bras cut differently, just as I like the necklines of all my shirts/blouses to be interesting too (whether it is boat-neck, a |__| style, a \_/ type look, or even a scalloped neckline). The only crew neck shirts I own are sweatshirts and a couple of t-shirts I wear to bed.

I love them. Almost all of my bras are push-up bras.

Yeah the false advertisement bit of it bothers me, have you ever seen the Victoria Secret Miraculous Bras? Intimidating I wondered where my breasts would fit. I suppose if the person that will see you with your clothes off after wearing the bra knows what to expect then that works.
