I supposed if you're wearing the wrong size, or it just doesn't fit your frame well
Babydolls and the "pregnancy effect"

Hmm, I dunno. I've never owned a babydoll.

Depends on the babydoll I have had some that do that to me.

They can work on curvier women, but tend to fall flat on skinnier ones.

Actually, every fashion expert ever recommends empire waist to hide tummies. Whether it actually works, well it's hard to say, but I've seen when it doesn't.

Depends on the design/material and how it falls over the body.

I don't care for babydolls, in general. They are kind of unflattering. I know they are popular with plus sized women, but...I'm not sure why. But if you feel sexy in it, then go for it. Some babydolls that don't bell out too much, or that are sheer or open in the front are nice, though.

My partner hates them because it hides my curves

To some extent

Depends on the babydoll and on the girl wearing it, but yeah they make me look pregnant too

Depends on the babydoll and the body type.

I think it depends on your body type, how many layers of fabric there are, and the cut of the top. I like them though...

Nope

It depends. Like, if it's a sheer babydoll, it looks soft and flowy and romantic, but if it's a solid color it can do the whole pregnancy effect.

This! I think the sheer ones are really nice.
