would maybe recycle toys but giving them away is nasty
Would you participate in a toy recycling program? Would you give away old toys?

I doubt I'd use it...I have a hard time shipping stuff once a year when I sell it on ebay...

I was actually thinkin about this the other day. I think it would not be a bad idea. After spending 75 or more on a toy - it be great not to just toss it out. If a company can certify it's been safely cleaned why not

!? Sometimes you buy a toy and are deeply disappointed by it; why not send it somewhere to be recycled and enjoyed by someone else... great idea

I almost feel it is rude, and extremly gross. Some toys are so cheap I'd rather buy them one. If its more of the expensive toy like glass or silicone, people aren't going to give those away if they spend the money on it. People would mostly give a way cheap items they don't use.

tough call..

Not really sure, what they would do with the rest of the toys? I would always feel this would be really weird to recycle since some things is just difficult to clean.
10/11/2012
That's sketchy stuff, I wouldn't do it.
10/24/2012
I would love to be able to recycle my old toys when they no longer work.
10/27/2012
I'd love to participate in a recycling program! It would be cool if Eden had something like this set up
10/27/2012
I would definitly get rid of my old toys to a recycling program. I mean it's not like someone else is going to use it! It would be made into something new.

I definitely would, but for sterilize-able toys only.

Noooooo. Neither.
Used toys are just yuck, and giving your toys out has a high creep factor - people will see you have toys - and what kind too.
Maybe if it was a big containe where you can throw stuff, like old toasters and hair dries I would drop a toy too...

Even a few..one VERY expensive, that I got, realized it was WAY bigger then expected (not from EF with their awesome size measure), but I NEVER used it and there it sits!!!! I would love to get rid of these, since I cannot bear the thought of just tossing in the trash.

Unfortunately, inasmuch as I am into recycling, there are some things I just wouldn't find acceptable to have reused by strangers.

I'm going to have to agree with Stormy here. Despite the fact that this seems like a brilliant surface idea, the fear of germs would turn wayy to many people off the idea, making it unjustifiable to pay the overhead it would take to get something like this started.

I love my toys, I just couldn't part with them.

I once found a program that would take your old toys and recycle the materials to make something else. I was ok with doing that.
02/17/2013
not okay with sharing sex toys
02/17/2013
I doubt I would give away my old toys. Mostly because I don't have any friends I would give them to near me and shipping and payment (like through the classifieds) would be a hassle.

I would give away old toys

Never give them away or recycle them, too much risk for other people
03/22/2013
It seems like a lot of people didn't follow the link. From what I see they are talking about a true recycle program where the parts are broken down and re-manufactured. Similar to the way they take old milk cartons, remelt the plastic (which sanitizes it) and reform them into new milk jugs or storage containers.
I wouldn't want to see anyone try to do a good will for sex toys as that is incredibly unsafe.

As long as its silicone and glass, heck yes!! In fact, I think you CAN put old glass dildos in the glass recycles, lol. Can't guarantee they'll use it.
03/22/2013
Looks like the insides of the toys are made out of rubber, and the outside out of silicone. I'm not sure about that, because that makes it unable to be sanitized like a usual silicone toy; I probably would not buy one but I think they are really neat.
Ok I do not agree with this:
"f you need a sex toy there may be one closer than you think, in your refrigerator or around the house. Fruits and vegetables like bananas and cucumbers make a simple and inexpensive substitute for a dildo. Many common items like electric toothbrushes or hairbrush handles can also be used for pleasure. And with a little imagination and ingenuity, you can create improvised sex toys and give a second life to materials like plastic bags, shampoo bottles, toilet paper tubes, and rubber gloves. "
NO! NO! NO! Why would they even say that?! Don't use fruits and vegetables! Shampoo bottles! At least they need to say: "DONT PUT THAT IN YOUR BUTT!"
