Have you ever gotten a splinter with a wooden toy?

I think that unless you really abuse the wood it's pretty much impossible for this to happen?

Guys, come on. This is like the "will the glass dildo shatter in my vagina and cut me?!" paranoia. No. You won't get a splinter from a smooth, finished item. Think of how often we use wood in furniture, housing, cookware, etc. Do you get splinters from them? Nope--they're made to make sure that doesn't happen. These toys are totally safe, and all it takes is a little research to find that out. They would not sell like $100+ hotcakes if this was an issue. They aren't giving you freshly sawed logs to masturbate with. It's not just a tree branch torn from a tree. These things have been sanded and finished to be as smooth as glass (which is, by the way, also safe, sturdy, and damn near impossible to break without dropping it from a 25 story building).

I do agree Supervixen. I feel bad people are so worried about it though. Bottom line-if it worries you that much (whether it should or not) you probably won't be able to relax enough to enjoy the toy anyway. So if you are uncomfortable with the idea of wood, just skip those toys

I haven't tried a wooden toy, but I want to, and I won't worry about getting a splinter because they're finished well.

I don't have one but I'm planning to soon. The finish on the EF wooden toys is supposedly very good.

Never! I don't think wooden toys can splinter, just like glass ones. There would be no way to remove it at all.

I have never had a wood toy, but I would expect I would never use one that I could possibly get a splinter from.

as long as they are made correctly they shouldn't splinter.
