Uh, I'm pretty sure they are made specially NOT to do that!

You shouldn't get splinters off a wooden toy, unless you're abusing it.

TB, I want to know too. I'm ultra-paranoid about this happening. ):

I think the finish on wooden toys is such that they won't give splinters!

LOL. No. I don't use wood toys. They're a big turn off to me, but when I see them I always picture a splinter happening right in my cooter! I highly doubt it would happen as I'm pretty sure they polish the wood very well, but IT IS WOOD. There may be that possibility. You'd probably be able to feel any spots that aren't slick and smooth with your hands though. I hope they're all polished with some kind of fabulous polisher because wood HARBORS bacteria. EW. So the thought of that alone (polished wood or not) totally grosses me out. I don't even like using wooden handled knives so I darn sure wouldn't put wood inside me! Like I said though, pretty sure the wood in toys is "cured." Still turns me off though.

Have you ever gotten a splinter from a wooden salad bowl?

They use the same finishing technique. If it's good enough to eat off of, it's good enough to use in your vagina.

C'mon people, if it wasn't safe, they wouldn't do it and charge $60+ a pop for it.

Exactly, they are specially made to not be able to splinter inside a human.

Ouch... this is exactly the reason why we haven't bought a wooden toy yet... we have fears.

I honestly don't think they will, unless you intentionally alter it in some way.

No, because I don't care for the idea of wood toys. My order of preference is metal, then silicon.

I don't have any wooden toys but I'm pretty sure they make them in a way so that they don't splinter while using them.
