What's the First Thing You Look For When Shopping For a Realistic Dildo/Dildo?
05/11/2011
Size and shape are most important.

Based on my response, I don't have a real "first thing". I do want my toys to be sterilized, if possible but so many other things are also important. If the dil is higher priced, I guess I want everything.
At this point, I am buying fewer toys but going for toys that will satisfy my needs.

Size and Cyberskin!

Most of the time for me, Its shape than size.
08/17/2011
size is the most important initial information i look at
08/18/2011
Length, girth, and shape. In that order.

Texture. I really, REALLY dislike very bumpy textures. I've had repeated UTIs before and the one toy I do have has veins so rough that it makes me feel like I've got a UTI brewing... ack. Same reason I go for materials that are fairly safe and washable, too. After that, color. If I can, I prefer to get clear/blue/red/purple items.

when i go for realism, i go for vixskin.
they offer as close to the real thing as you can buy, without possibly being the subject of a sting operation.

vixskin is my favorite, but also look for silicone, size, and shape. cannot deal with unsafe materials.

The main thing I look for is material safety, then size and shape.

Material is most important, then size.

Size. When I'm looking for a new dildo, the first thing I go to is Eden's refine by diameter search. I usually like them to be close to 2 inches. I won't go any smaller than a 1.5 diameter. Material would be my next concern. I won't do jelly or rubber.

Shape and material.

Size especially the thickness (2-3")then shape and appearance, must be realistic, then material. Length not that important.

I've not shopped for a dildo myself, but I'd say size and shape are pretty important to me.

Insertable length and girth. I usually stick between 1.5 - 2.5 for girth. I prefer the length to be over 7”.

Size and material are the first things I look for. If it's too big or too small, or made from an unsafe material, it's a no-go. It's got to be silicone, glass, or stainless steel. Size-wise, I look for something between 4-5 inches in circumference. Length is a little less important, but I usually like it to be at least 5 inches and less than 8 inches (I can't insert much more than 6 inches, and too much excess length just makes it awkward to use).
After size and material, I consider shape and texture. I like to have a variety of shapes and textures, so there isn't one single thing I look for there.
Lastly, I consider things like price and aesthetics. Obviously I need to be able to afford it and I'm not made of money, so price has to be at least a consideration. How a toy looks definitely isn't one of the first things I look at, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't find myself drawn towards toys that I find aesthetically pleasing. I enjoy toys that come in fun, bright colours as opposed to flesh tones. It's probably the least important thing to me, but it does still play at least a small factor in which products appeal most to me.
