I am a total glass fanatic. It has a great feel to it, is super easy to clean and sanitize, and looks super amazing! Rubber just does not do it for me.
Sure, glass dildos tend to be a little more expensive, but it is worth it.

Voted glass - but there are so many other options. Metal has a lot of the features of glass - but has other advantages like being unbreakable.
When your looking for something softer or more realistic I suggest silicone. The material is way safer than rubber or jelly materials.

I love the smell of rubber, but glass is a better material for me.

Of the two, I would also go for glass. The look of glass is probably my favorite, particularly with partner play, but also the unforgiving shape and hold on temperature. I'm just kind of 'meh' over rubber, as a generalization.

Glass is my favorite dildo material, period. The smoothness is divine, they're the easiest to clean, safe for all kind of use, and plus they're just plain gorgeous.

Glass has definitely become my favorite!! Much easier to clean, safe. The textures are the greatest!!

I love glass! It is my favorite as of right now, however, I have started to acquire more silicone toys so now there is a competition.

Glass is among my favorites, but depends on my mood. The others at the top of the list of insertables are metal (stainless steel) and silicone. I won't even use rubber because it porous, and often has weird unexplained chemical additives in it.

Rubber has too much risk. Hard to clean, chemical additives, possible reactions.

Neither.

Neither.
Rubber typically smells bad and is generally pretty hard to clean.
Glass is just too hard for me.
Go silicone!

I put rubber because it feels more real.

I love the hard slickness of glass. I also love that it's hypoallergenic, easy to store, and good for temperature play. I avoid rubber when at all possible.

Glass. Better for the body, nice solid pressure, etc.

I'm all about rubber. More realistic, and I just have a paranoia about glass...

Glass is better but silicone is best possibly followed by metal.
Rubber is kinda sticky and smelly.

I like rubber better because it doesn't have the "unforgiving shape and hold on temperature." It just feels so unreal. ::Shivers::

Not a huge glass fan but definately take that over rubber anyday!

I really want to try glass, but I'm affraid that if it gets a chip or fracture I wouldn't be able to tell. I don't want to risk it. Rubber bends and is easy to take care of.

You will - the type of glass used in good glass toys needs a pretty strong shock to have a problem. If you drop it you check it (hold it up to light, look, run your fingers around it) If it still seems OK then it is.

I agree w/ Mistress Kay. I LOVE the smell of rubber, but glass is much easier to take care of and you can sterilize it. I like them both though.

And to also agree w/ SocttA and add that glass toys are almost always made of Pyrex or something similar and these are incredibly strong materials. I mean you can boil glass, but not rubber.

ive never used glass and im curious

Probably rubber over glass for me(Though I haven't tried glass yet) because I already don't enjoy how hard plastic vibes can be.

I would love to try glass! I've been curious about it for awhile, I'm a big fan of temperature play, so I think I could have a lot of fun with it.

I am looking forward to my first glass toy purchase.

Glass kicks rubber's ass.
