It depends. I rarely use a plug all on its own, but they're great to use with another toy because they stay put and so require less coordination.

Plugs! Not only are they comfy and stimulating, they're also great for lazy people like me!
Just kidding. I actually prefer feelings of fullness and stretching over the sensation of thrusting. Plugs are a nice, constant, subtle kind of feeling. (Well, most of them are subtle. Highly textured, warmed or cooled or particularly large ones are much "louder" in their ways.)
On that note, even though I am able to use larger plugs, I often prefer the smaller ones. I'm eagerly awaiting my Fun Factory Boosty.
