Hi everyone,

The EdenTasks rotation will be occurring after the start of the New Year. If you’re currently an editor, you’ll be receiving an email letting you know that your rotation is ending and then you’ll receive a decline email once you are rotated out. If you’ve submitted an application and are declined, you can reapply after the rotation has been completed. Once the rotation occurs, new editors will receive notification that they’ve been activated.

Seconded. I love editing SO much. I'd do it even if we didn't earn any points for it. I didn't even know that "rotations" were a thing that happened...How soon can I reapply after I'm phased out? Mind you, I've only started editing in the last couple months, so hopefully it won't be too soon...

I wish the new editors would know sooner than that if they were gonna be editors - but that's just cause I'm inpatient and I applied back in October!

I can hardly wait till you announce the new editors.

Thanks, Sammi!! I applied in June and haven't had any response, so hopefully that is good. I just have an application submitted on my page and an orange link for activating the program (clicked and it doesn't work). I hope to get on this rotation, but if not will keep my hopes up!!

I'm certainly looking forward to this. I second lexical's post. I love correcting people's grammar, spelling and whatnot so much that I'd do it for free if points weren't offered.

Great way of dealing with the editing program. Fair, straight forward and doesn't burn people out. As usual great job.

This is the same thing for me, but I applied in Aug. I hope to get picked sometime.

I didn't even realize the application process was so competitive! I'm not qualified to apply yet, but I'd always imagined it'd be as simple as an upgrade request. This makes a lot more sense, but I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up about editing anytime soon! I'm excited to do it whenever I'm able to.

Even though I don't "need" an editor anymore due to my ratings - you are one editor I'll miss. You were so great about telling us what you edited, etc. and I loved it. You were truly the best editor I had and I hate to see you rotated out!

Ditto! Antipova is the best editor I have had. If I get chosen, I will definitely try to emulate the wonderful job she has done.

Aw I love editing because I know how much I appreciate a good editor. When I first came, Selective Sensualist was an editor, and she always did the same thing (probably even more elaborately, actually, with links to resources for every mistake you made). She even taught me what an em-dash was on my Afterglow Special Edition review. I was so happy.

So, even though she was rotated out after a while, and now I am, maybe there'll be someone in the next rotation to carry on the tradition?

(Plus, the rotations are good, because they keep editors from getting burned out. Fresh eyes all the time, you know?)
