What toy have you found most challenging to write about?

For previous bad toys, I just wrote about how much and why they sucked, but for that one -- well, it was my own fault for picking it! I think it came across quite well in my review that the toy was a giant pain in the ass, and why, but that it could work for some. I certainly wasn't going to lie about the stupid thing.

I apologize if my statement was harsh in anyway! You were clear about what you were saying, it was me that went off course here, your statements were just fine!!

You weren't harsh! Although I was, in describing the poor defenseless toy.

LOL, to funny, I was harsh the other day, when I left a comment on a lubricant, I feel your pain!! The other products that would intimidate me, are all the male toys that I just would never use, if I were ever writing for the EF program, it would be hard to accept some assignments I think, maybe for this reason, I could not write for EF!!

I think you're right about definitely needing lube with that one. That's probably what keeps me from liking it as much as I would otherwise. I've been spoiled by my glass and metal toys that don't even need lube. The Curve is nice, it just feels like a lot of effort to get it to work for me as well as my other toys do.

I think I'm getting better at reviewing books. It's completely different from reviewing toys. I've also noticed that less people vote on book reviews, and I get the sense people tend to be a little more critical of this type of review. I assume this is because books are a less popular item on EF than the toys, and because most people have read book reviews outside of this website and thus have something for comparison. By contrast, I think EF is hands down THE best place to read toy reviews, so it's easier to give a rating of "extremely useful" to a toy review because so many people on here do write very good, very detailed reviews.

Anyway, just something I've noticed. I've kind of gotten into reviewing books, and I should have a new review up within a couple weeks.

I can't even imagine trying to use the Curve without lube, I don't even like it with an otherwise perfectly fine lube that's just less slippery than Toyfluid.

I've written tons of book reviews elsewhere, but not on this site. It's so hard to know exactly how much to give away, depending on the audience, so I think I need to read a ton more reviews here before I review my latest book acquisitions.

My feeling about erotica reviews is that it's hard to give away too much. I mean, everyone already knows what's it's going to be about—it's going to be about sex. From there I just try to write about things like the type of characters in the story and the quality of the writing. I don't usually go into a TON of detail, but I think that even if I was ultra-specific in my review, it wouldn't ruin the story for anyone. The pleasure of erotica is in the reading, not in finding out what's going to happen at the end.

The Flirty Plush Magic Ball was my hardest toy to write.
It was my very first free toy here at Eden and as much as it was ok at getting the job done, it wasn't the greatest.

But the hardest of all the reviews to date was Lip Service DVD! YIKES.

I am reasonably lucky when it comes to toys - it's not often that I get a toy that I really don't like. I think the main problem I have had with toys I have bought in the past is smell. I have learnt!

Well if you're going to use logic . . .

See, I got spooked in fandom, where the fact that an actress got a haircut can be considered a spoiler, and accidentally revealing it before the character appears sporting her new hairdo can bring down the wrath of a vengeful mob upon one's journal.

not a toy.... but I have had some liberator furnature for sometime just waiting to be reviewed.... but I keep putting it off thinking I might have more to say.

Either way... I think its definately not just you. The ones I struggle with the most though in general tend to be the ones I don't care for very much.

I think the hardest one will be my current assignment. I was excited its my first assignment given to me from Eden. I accepted it without realizing it comes as two separate items. I just got the one of them today and because it's a new toy the other part is not available for purchase. Means I can't get the one it attaches too. Should be interesting to say the least. Hey, at least I got the fun part

In general the toys that are great or terrible are the easiest to review the mediocre toys are the hardest for me to review.

Toys that I don't like...

Lubes and books for product categories. For "other" categories I'd have to say toys with lots of reviews on them already, because it's hard to find something new to say.

The huge double dong I reviewed was the most difficult to test! It was huge, both in length and girth, and just plain awkward for me. But it's my favorite of the videos I've done!
