Ugh! Has this ever happened to you?

no, but i've seen enough horror stories to consider writing in a seperate word program. Ken and Roberta Williams say "Save early, save often"

Hasn't happened to me on here (yet?), but it has on other websites (blogging, commenting, etc.)... always a discouraging experience. Sorry it happened to you!

That's why i either write it in Word first, or will occasionally "select all, copy" periodically as i'm writing it

i hate when that happens, i even save emails and copy in case i need to paste if i'm writing a long one

THAT is how I feel. Lol

Yes, it has happened to me. I remember a few months ago, I'd spent days working on a really extensive review and this KEPT happening. Each time I'd hit "save" I was back to the homepage.

I actually asked for help on the forum thinking something was wrong. Don't remember what ever came of it, but I got to where I'd copy/paste every single section before touching the save button, and it never did happen again, but I STILL copy/paste the entire review into notepad now. Lol.

Wonderful suggestion! Hey, we could really use a feature that saved every few minutes like that! Can't we bring these suggestions up at like the meeting or something? We should do that Smichelle!

I have had several reviews deleted in the last few days. And yes! I'm using Word now. But I wasn't the first couple times and I lost so, so much...this started happening about halfway through the night of the 19th. The first review I did earlier that night did go through but it hasn't worked since. It has to do with the amount of data. Saving each section as you go only works for the ones that do not have much writing in them. Sections with small paragraphs of data will save, however, when you do the bulk of the review, the form deletes and resets. Using the back button does not work either. I'm getting really frustrated.I currently have a support ticket but am waiting to hear back. The first advice I received was to delete my cache and cookie then reset the browser. I did this and it didn't help. I tried resetting my computer, using a different browser, and using my laptop. Still not working.

IE is famous for that...I haven't had it happen here, but elsewhere yes...very frustrating. Yahoo mail does it too...hangs up and you lose everything.

I write my reviews in text program first. Last time I had just finished my review without saving it when my laptop battery died. Luckily the program had auto-saved it.

Yep, I always write stuff in notepad or Word first. The bad thing is when I start typing a forum post thinking it will be short, then end up writing a book, then accidentally hit the back button on the side of my mouse when I go to hit submit. That has happened more times then I care to admit.
