Anyone else find titles the hardest part of the review? I have this problem with any type of review or paper I write, and only rarely does a title just come to me. I seem to spend more time trying to think of a title than in writing any other section in a review (if you don't count adding measurements to photos).

Don't wreck your brain on it, sometimes the title just dawns on you naturally!

Most of the time, the titles just come to me. Often, they're the first thing I even think to write! Other times, they come later, usually while I'm writing the review.

Titles for reviews are super easy for me.
That said, titles for school essays certainly are not. Titles for stories aren't. Titles for artworks are not.
Reviews are an odd exception, I guess.

I've only had a few that have stumped me on the titles. But usually they just seem to appear easily.

Yeah, they're pretty difficult for me.

I'm bad with titles and they usually turn out to be lame as hell, but I don't dwell on them too much because I'll end up wasting time with a title and forgetting something in my review. Lol

To make a decent title isn't hard, to make a very catchy and memorable one is - unless you've been struck by an inspiration

Titles are hard for me.

Titles and the summary are the hardest for me!

I find that if I start writing first, It will come to me. I try to make them funny or eye catching, but sometimes it just fails me all together lol. Definitely depends on the product!

I had a hard time figuring out the title for my Mimi review, which was because there are so many other reviews that I was trying to be original, but I could not come up with something. For the most part I can come up with a title, unless there is a lot of reviews about it first. I find Summaries to be the hardest part.

The Summary is by far the hardest section for me.

I have a hard time with titles. I'm not a huge fan of puns, so my titles are usually too long and descriptive. The summary is sometimes hard, too. I've already said what I wanted to about the product. I've gotten to the point where I write my review on Word and then take the best sentence and use that for the summary.

I can come up with titles easily, but I don't want them to sound corny, so I complicate if for myself by trying to be clever but not lame.

For me personally it always depends on the item. Some products depending on what it is, and it's product name, I have a hard time creating a unique title for. I don't always need a funny title, but would prefer a title that is unique and different. Rather than "The (insert product here) review by CookieMonsterMike. It's too plain, nothing fun etc.
I've seen a lot of people use movie quotes which is great as long as it works with that product in my opinion. I look at it as a title that highlights the product, and the extra things your adding in are just simply a boost to the title fun factor.

I suuuuuuuck at titles and naming things! (I had a blog called Insert Witty Title Here for like 5 years.)

The title is either the first or last thing I fill in. I agree, it either comes easy or is hard to figure out.

I usually have a bunch of them, have to narrow it down to one and then second guess myself. They come too easy to me!!

Most of the time I have a hard time coming up with something. Either I know exactly what I want to title it as soon as I start using it before I even get a chance to write the review, or I struggle like hell to come up with something, lol.

If I really love or hate something the title is easier to do. However, with products that I'm just not feeling the love fora toy, I can't come up with a title at all!

It's the BEST thing when you know you've got a catchy title!!

I have trouble with titles, too..which is why I usually just put " ___ ___ Review" -- so boring!

I ended up doing this for my last review. I honestly couldn't come up with anything that worked or wasn't really lame. So far I've only had one title that came easy, and aside from that one they are always the last thing I end up writing. I do try to go over my review to find something, or get inspired. I prefer to have a title that says something about my thoughts on the product, or about the product itself.

I try not to try overly hard on titles.
It's nice when a title can be clever and catchy, but I see soooooo many reviews, honestly like 9/10 where I find the titles sort of pointless and obnoxious. Most of the time the titles are repetitive because people are trying to be cutesy, and they usually aren't very useful when people try to describe the overall theme of the review in the title. I'm sure some of these people didn't put much thought into it, but more often than not I think they're probably spending way too much time on it and putting way too much thought into making it catchy enough, clever enough, cutesy enough, whatever.
When I rate reviews I usually do them on a string of reviews of a product I'm interested in, and after reading like 7 reviews with basically the same frickin gimmicky title I get SO close to commenting "nice review but cut the crap with the title" but I don't because it's much too rude lol.

A lot of times, my titles will pop into my head as some sort of nerdy joke, and I wonder if anyone will get it...like references to comic books or movies or songs. But sometimes, I use it anyway, because it seems to stick and resonate with me, for some reason.

I write the summary and pros/cons first, then go back to the rest of the review. I find it's a good way to get focused if I do that.

My method for titling anything be it an essay, paper, or a review is to write the document first, and while proof reading look for a "hook" that I can hang the title on.
