Different generations were taught differently. 2 is correct in my book and I hate when there are no spaces after commas.

I was always taught one space. Interesting that others were taught differently.

I don't bother editing out double spaces after sentences in others' reviews. It is outdated and no longer valid in many places, but not objectively and solidly wrong. If others want to put double spaces after their sentences, fine, but in my opinion it's very ugly-looking and it doesn't serve any practical purpose.

I always put one space. I've never heard about the two.
