I do like when people talk about their experience

Experience is often relevant in other sections of the review; for example, if I experienced an issue with the material in use, I write about that in the material section. The experience section isn't strictly necessary as long as it's covered elsewhere.

Sometimes I mix experience up with performance together. I like to talk about performance then followed by how it effected me personally. I don't think any section should be required. Maybe that one descriptive review should cover everything. As for other reviews, people should have a lot of freedom.

Bacon is awesome! I think experience section should remain optional.

I've seen a lot of reviews that include personal experiences in the performance area - in my experience, it can be kind of hard to separate the two. That said, I do like to know what the reviewer actually thought about the product from a more personal standpoint - otherwise I'd just read a product description - and it can be hard to cover all the necessary information AND the personal experience in the first section without going over the word limit.

I don't think it should be mandatory, but I do find it helpful.
