I don't know if it's just luck, but since my original incident with Flickr I have switched all of my photos to Photobucket. All of my folders are marked as private and so far (knock on wood) I have not had any issues.
Hosting pictures for reviews

I posted a couple of pictures of a dildo on photobucket for use in a review and in less than a day, one of the photos had been deleted. It was replaced with a red and white image saying that the pic had been deleted, but not really giving a reason why. (I deleted the red and white image and uploaded the dildo pic again, and I can't remember what the red and white text said exactly.)
I've gone back and made my albums "private". I hope that fixes the problem. But since I'm not really sure why the picture was deleted in the first place, I won't know if it does until another picture gets deleted.
Did EF ever create a place of their own for hosting pictures to be used in reviews? That would be EXTREMELY useful.

Not yet to my knowledge but I do the same thing you do for now - keep my photos private! Didn't anyone tell these people that if they don't like the pictures, not to look at them???

I have plenty of pics of various toys on my Flickr, I wonder why none of mine have been messed with? I am wondering if it is cuz I always tag them as adult toys?

Would I be able to keep my photos private? Or would that create attention from the Flickr staff? My guess is they are LESS likely to look at open files than "restricted" or "private" ones, since they might think you have something to hide.
But, I never label my pics as to what they are but still, vibrators and dildos are....obvious

The issue I had to start with is that I figured I didn't have to make my photos "private". I figured I wasn't advertising them or adding "friends" or even giving them titles or descriptions for people to search. But someone "found" them anyway and reported it. My understanding was that it was a mere surfer and not actually anyone working for Flickr. So I just made everything private and it hasn't happened since.

Unfortunately, making everything private caused all of my old picture links in my reviews to be disabled so I had to go back and have Eden staff fix ALL of them. Ugh! Good thing he was wonderfully patient with me!

I hate it when people just go around being nosy into other people's business. Is a pic of a dildo hurting them? They don't have to look, if they don't want. I've managed to stay under the radar, so far.
Is there an other site that is more sex friendly? Also, we were promised an Eden photo site SEVEN months ago! What happened?

All of the pictures I've been using in my reviews have been marked as private on Imageshack. I haven't had another problem with anything getting deleted since I marked them as private, but I haven't gotten anything tremendously explicit up since I started doing that. However they do still show up in your reviews since you're copying and pasting the direct link, essentially giving permission to view the photo I think. And it's being viewed here and not there, so no worries about that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't EF now have at least limited ability to do this? As I understand it, you can upload photos to at least some product pages (check out this thread for more info), but not all of them. If a page has that feature, you should be able to see it under the "View and share related images" section near the bottom of the page, and you can upload it by clicking on "Upload your picture". Once uploaded, you should be able to link to it in your review.
Would that be a correct take on things?

Vac, I've done this, but do you know how the images on the product page shows up on a review? My guess is it might be very small. I'm not sure, however.

I emailed JR and he said that we can upload pictures and link them in our reviews. However, I did not take the size into consideration. I'll upload a picture later and test link it on my wall to see what the size is.

I've never done it, so I really don't know for certain. That said, if you go to this page, for example, and click on one of the thumbnail images, a larger image will pop up. Then all you have to do is right-click the image and select "Copy Image Location" (or whatever wording your browser uses) to get a large image to use in your review. If you right clicked on the thumbnails, then yes, I imagine the images would be very small.

Again, I've yet to do all this, but it seems like it would work.

I tried uploading several pictures on the main product page and then linking to them in a review that I am writing and they show up a decent size in the preview of the review. (I'm not done writing it, so I don't know how well it will work for the actual review.) There is a lot of blank space above and below the pictures because the pics I used were more of a horizontal rectangular shape, and the uploader makes them all more of a square shape. But that's not a real problem, just sort of aesthetically annoying.

BTW, I accidentally uploaded one picture that I didn't need. Is there a way to delete it from the product page once it is there? I tried to figure something out, but couldn't seem to find a way to delete what I had uploaded.

Thank you, Kindred and Vac. I may be doing this instead. (Using Eden for my photos.)
I spoke too soon. I recently got a note on my Flickr account that someone complained that my images should be "restricted" and that I had to change my settings. Also, several of my images disappeared from one of my reviews, although they are still available on Flicker. I had to change my settings and ask for a "re-review" of my account. What the fuck?
Do uptight jerks just hang around on Flickr looking for things to get "offended" about? I don't label my stuff, nor do I have any friends on Flickr. (A couple of guys are following me, but I haven't responded and I just changed my stetting to private.)
I may have to look for a more open site. I'm pissed, I really am.

I SO hear you! I just pray to the powers that be that I never have to go through all the work of getting the correct image links for each review again (and then poor JR who did all the work for me too! I bet he wishes just as hard as I do!).

I have over a dozen reviews that I have to do, and I have been avoiding doing them because I want to add photos, but I don't want them to be deleted. I guess I'll have to try with photobucket and cross my fingers.

EF can host the pictures on the product page. Toward the bottom of the page, there should be a "Upload your picture" option. However, I don't find the formatting to be ideal and continue to use Photobucket. I have had no problems for almost a year now.

You can upload pictures through the product page or while writing a review. Currently, it forces a square shape which means either cropping the photo or putting up with added white margins. This is a problematic for review spacing IMHO.
