Sometimes I like the ones where people have creative pictures or video set to music and having text on the bottom. I think this is especially cool for hearing impaired folks who might be interested in a toy and a closer look.

I know! One of the best parts of video is to see how squishy / bendy the material is. When people just have slideshows... why didn't they just put pictures in the review? (That doesn't count for super firm toys, I guess, but for anything that's not made of glass, wood, or metal, I want to see the reviewer hold it horizontal to show how floppy it is, and also squish it, bend it, and generally show what the material is like. If it's a vibrator, they should show the strength of vibes somehow, too.)

I'm more interested in the review than the person giving it. I'm mostly looking for if they actually give the advice or touch on the subjects I'm looking to learn about.

i can understand why someone can't show their faces in reviews; a lot of people could get in trouble with their jobs (or families, like in my case) if they show their participation in sex reviewing website.

i personally have no preference; as long as the reviewer can provide me with ample information, i'm pretty pleased

I'm planning on making a couple of video reviews in the future, but I couldn't possibly show my face on any of them for a simple reason... I'm a teacher. I teach teenagers. Teenagers who are very proficient at the use of the Internet.

Can you guess how my classes would go, and how popular I would be among parents, if one of my adorable teenagers found a video of me reviewing a smiling green vibrating caterpillar dildo (or the like)?

I would not want to show my face either. I do not even have a real pic of me let alone show a video of me. I want to hide my face from being online, just do not like this idea.

The focus for us is on the product, so it really doesn't matter to us as long as the various attributes of the product are well described and shown.

I don't think it is that important, I'm there to look at the toy anyway... Plus, I understand why people might not want their face shown, I'm about to shoot some and probably won't show my face.

I personally do not Care I watch a video to understand the toy, the persons face has nothing to do with it for me

It doesn’t add anything in most review videos. In some of the promotional videos it adds a lot.

I don't really care either way.
Some people don't mind showing their face. But some people, like me, may be uncomfortable with the idea of their face being on camera. But to each their own.

I won't show my face. I was always told that if you weren't comfortable with your children seeing it, then don't put it on the internet. While I'm not ashamed of my membership to this site or my sex toys, there are certain instances in which I wouldn't want a picture of myself holding a dildo floating around.

It doesn't make a difference for me. Whatever the reviewer is comfortable doing is fine by me.

I don't have a preference. If someone is paranoid about their privacy, I don't blame them. I wouldn't show my face in a video review either.

I always get curious to what they look like because then I can hear their voice and see the rest of them...but other than that it doesn't matter.

I become pleasantly surprised when I see someone's face in a review.

In the beginning, I thought it was a rule that you had to hide your face because no one ever showed theirs, so I mostly hid mine. I'm considering doing a video showing mine now, though

I don't really care if they show face, and understand why they would not. My favorite video reviews, don't show face if that says anything.

Showing one's face does kind of feel more like eye contact and enhance the quality of the video. It doesn't really affect the overall quality though, as long as they're articulate and get everything across well.

I don't really care if they show their face. I do care if they talk. I want to hear what you are saying and how you are saying it. If I wanted text I would just read normal reviews.

I prefer videos that have a clear view of the product. I understand why people wouldn't show their face, so it doesn't bother me if they remain anonymous.

I like seeing faces because I feel like I can read their thoughts just on their facial expressions. It helps me know If I truly want to buy a toy or not especially if its pricey.

i've been considering doing some video reviews - however - the privacy of my identity is very important to me, the last thing i want is some creeper at the grocery store saying "hey i saw you on ..... website ...." while my kids are standing right there. further, the nature of my career is very image focused - as much as i love this, this is my personal life and for my own peace of mind work and personal need to be kept seperate at all times.

I actually much prefer watching a video review done by someone who shows their face, rather than someone who shows just their hands and the toy - or worse, just the bottom half of their face. I read lips while listening to people talk, because often times I mishear something if I don't, so it's actually uncomfortable for me to watch a review, hear what's being said, and not be able to include the lip-readings in my processing of the information. The showing of half a face is better in one sense, but worse in another. It's better because I get my lip reading, but worse because it's extremely jarring to watch someone talk to you with only the bottom half of their face. I understand why it's done, and I don't criticize people who don't show their entire face, but I prefer da face!

I don't have a preference. I prefer not to show mine in case someone stops by here and watches a video and I don't want that person knowing this part of my life.
