I picked the first option since I'm happily single and the three benefits to me that I can think of regarding having a significant other are 1.Partner sex, 2. Cuddling, and 3. Emotional intimacy. Since I can do just fine with masturbation and have cuddly friends who are also great with emotions, none of these concerns is particularly pressing. That said, If I was in a relationship with someone awesome, there are things that can be done if the sex isn't so great. Communication is key. Tell them that there is room for improvement, and you want to act on it. Make that sex better, together. In other words: USE YOUR WORDS.

I guess it all plays in to other things. How lonely am I? Do I need emotional companionship? I don't like having average sex, it's such a bummer...so I'd choose my toy after a night out with my friends rather than ehh sex with someone who doesn't do it for me.

I'm satisfied sexually, but am not alone. I like having a great solo session, but often feel things are better when I share a connection with someone else. Even if the sex isn't as great as the orgasm I know a toy can give me, the companionship is really important to me. Even more fun when you can bring toys into the session for partner play!

I’m not single but sometimes i do enjoy the company of my toy solo. I have toys that do things that a man could never. It just depends on the mood I’m in i guess.
