There were actually several couple in the room together when I was there! You could tell by the end they were ready to go I was traveling without my husband or he would have been right there watching with me

I went to a party that turned into a spontaneous sex show. I was pretty young sexually at the time (not a child but still a virgin). I can't say that I enjoyed or disliked it as much as I found it really interesting. I was fascinated by seeing people have sex for the first time. I hadn't watched any porn at that point. I think that would be a good way to see it for the first time too! Spontaneous real live sex has to be way better than blocked out, staged sex with bad dialogue

There's a strip club in the French Quarter that advertises live sex acts but I've never been there when that was going on. The VIP room (expensive as hell) involves a private sex show, plus when you're up there you can get naked yourself and "interact" with the dancers and whoever you're up there with, just no oral or penetration with the dancers (since you are paying them, it could be considered prostitution). Someone who trained at my store for a brief period once talked about "fuck fests" or something like that (I can't remember if that was the exact term), where couples would get together and have sex in the same room, usually just in their respective pairs (you could call it a couple-oriented orgy, I suppose). Apparently nobody minded if someone tagged along just to watch.
