In your ideal fantasy world, how many wives or husbands would a person be allowed to have?

I like monogamy just fine but if other people wanted multiples, why not?

I am living my fantasy! All I could ever want is the one man I have. He completely adores me, he is kind and gentle-hearted with me, even when I am being a major pain in the ass. He chews my ass when I need it though. We balance each other perfectly. Two Leo's in the same household is a difficult merger, but we are fiercely loyal to one another and we are very territorial when it comes to what is ours. He is mine and I am his!

I am intrigued by your complete lack of imagination and understanding of the word "fantasy".

Edit: This thread has completely been hijacked and has lost all hope.

Two husbands. One for the front One for the back! jking. Monogamy, although that would be very nice sounding, but you would have to put twice the emotional energy into a relationship. It would end up like sister wives...

Wish bisexuality was factored in here. I still say unlimited for both.

As many as they wanted, I guess, but I don't place a whole lot of significance on marriage anyway.

The ideal number would be different for everyone... but for me I am happy with just my one partner. That is all I want and need.

I don't believe in marriage, and as consenting adults people already can have many partners as they want. But since some people do dream with marriage, I think it would be nice to people be able to marry with as many as they wanted, as long everyone was on their own free will.

I think it becomes far too complicated, legally speaking, with more than 2.

And this post pretty much excludes all of the GLBT community.
They are not excluded at all. In fact, I have found that regardless of gender or sexual orientation, you tend to have one partner that would in the more "traditional male" role and one in traditional "female" roll.We have at least eight gay and lesbian couples (a couple of them "married". in legal states) and THEY all fit that "male/female" roll to us hetero folks. SO...the fact I wrote the question with traditional male/female marriage in mind, you could still answer this no matter what your orientation. It could be "how many BONDED PARTNERS could you have in your ideal dream world"?

I admit, the custody agreements alone, if any of the group were to divorce, would be a nightmare.
Oh my. It's a legal nightmare with just TWO people divorcing. Can you see TEN divorcing??? YIKES.

I wouldn't put a limit to the number of consenting adult partners in a relationship with one another.

I am more than satisfied with one. How ever if other people wanted more then that is fine with me.
